It isn’t ironic at all. @jcc has been listening to too much Alanis Morissette.

I agree it’s a boring thread and a boring individual but most of your posts are completely off topic ie political points in the Boris/Starmer/Trump threads etc. I’m sure we can all find annoying little traits about each other (myself included) but what’s far more important is that we learn to co-exist, respect one another and get along (bar SC, who is just a 24-carat cunt).

Not the first person from that documentary to have died. Martin Ssempa next?

With consideration to the scale and size of the modern day music industry and where the money is (largely hip hop), she’s a drop in the ocean. That was my point. I don’t dispute that boomers have some kind of strange love for her. Never rated her personally.

I’m sure her 5 listeners will be devastated.

I really wish the BBC wouldn’t call them “former Nazis”. That isn’t true, they were ppl forced to comply against their will. They were not party members. You phrased it better than they did by calling them “the Third Reich generation”.

Another name I recently came across is British doctor James Elwood (wiki). I wonder if anyone here remembers this story? In 2000 he hit the headlines after it was revealed he had misdiagnosed cancer in at least 222 patients over a 5 year period. He voluntarily struck himself off before he was pushed. Anyway, according to the records on 192.com, he's still with us. Turned 100 at the end of 2021.

Yang Hyong-sop could very well be next from your list. 2019 2020 (shows he now needs support walking) 2021 (sat down, but not looking too bad) Can't find anything more recent. May have a year or so left in him yet.

Zero. I just want to see her beat Sarah K.

I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Pulse. Starring… Willie Rushton Linda Smith Humphrey Lyttleton Victoria Wood Jeremy Hardy Tim Brooke-Taylor Barry Cryer and… … who’s next then? Graeme Garden? Colin Sell? Jack Dee? Stephen Fry? Andy Hamilton? Bill Tidy is the most likely I suppose. 89 this year.

You scored with someone who was scheduled to be executed? VERY impressive.

That's not what anti-vaxxer is... An anti-vaxxer is someone who is point blank against getting jabbed because >>insert conspiracy theory A,B,C,D etc. here<< Nothing wrong with being pro-choice and supporting peoples' rights to choose what they put in their body, and opposing mandatory vaccination. I quite agree with her on that point.

You're correct. For some reason Spade's post didn't appear when I loaded the thread. Weird.

Nah, that was marginally "better" IMO.

Another source for his death here with a picture of him in 2010, so the source for 1998 must be wrong.

Prince Charles has unveiled seven new portraits of some of the UK's last surviving Holocaust survivors on Holocaust Memorial Day. Among them: Helen Aronson BEM (b. 1927) Lily Ebert BEM (b. 1923, wiki) Manfred Goldberg BEM (b. 1930) Arek Hersh MBE (b. 1928, wiki) Anita Lasker-Wallfisch MBE (b. 1925, wiki) Rachel Levy BEM (b. 1930) Zigi Shipper BEM (b. 1930) As far as I can see, they all seem to be in fair health. Though Lasker-Wallfisch is now in a wheelchair.

That article is from September 2021.

Never heard of her, but yes, just listened to the podcast episode and her brother says she died "just over a year ago" and was "almost 88". So died in January–August 2017, aged 87.

Truly awful record.

Broken link. Try this.

Saw this earlier. Whilst there are a few recent names on there, it's largely just a summary of all the deaths they announced in 2021. I'll have a proper dig tomorrow but I just had a quick glance and not seeing any new names on there.

TMZ reporting that American actor Morgan Stevens (wiki) has died aged 70. Seems that police discovered his body at his home after neighbours reported not seeing him for several days. Best known for playing teacher David Reardon in two series of Fame from 1982 to 1984. Edit: Sun obit.

Times obit for Aussie socialite and conservationist John Rendall, who has died from COVID-19 aged 77. One of two gents who famously bought a lion cub called Christian (wiki) from Harrods in 1969 (yes, you read that correctly!!) and then released it into the African wild. A year later, he went looking for it to see if the lion would remember him. It did, and this was the reaction:

It's a coincidence. The actress on IMDb was supposedly born Aug 1915 in Bristol and died in Nov 2016, also in Bristol. These both match in FreeBMD and the GRO Index. Her name at death was the same as it was at birth, suggesting she never married. She was the only person born as "Audrey Noble" in Bristol in 1915. The death notice above for Audrey Lilian Noble... she was born in Bristol in 1915 but as Audrey L. Taylor. She married a Mr. Noble in Bristol in 1941 and then became Audrey L. Noble.
