By Wiki/IMDb standards, yes. By our standards (common sense), it's accurate. The tree is by the Gratrix family (match on surname with his niece) and it has a very detailed entry for him. Fascinating guy by the looks of it btw. Attended drama school in 43, left to join the Royal Armoured Corps in 44, then discharged in 48. Retired from acting in the 80s but seemed to keep very active before being hospitalised in need of leg surgery, where it looks like he contracted pneumonia and died aged 93. A real shame he didn't obit. I've submitted to IMDb using a mix of records. On a lighter note, MyHeritage really needs to get with the times. "Wife"?!

Death notice for Patrick Byrne (wiki), 96, Ireland's oldest living former TD (member of the lower house). Served from 1956 to 1969. The oldest former TD or Senator is now Thomas J. Fitzpatrick (wiki, b. July 1926).

Thanks @YoungWillz. Updated. As per a FB post by Carla Benson, Benton seems to have died yesterday (6th).

Yes, that's him. His niece has a photo on her actual FB page of her with Belchamber, and his husband, actor Bernard Archard (1916–2008). IMDb will never accept this. Do we have anything else?

@The Old Crem, what does "old crem" even mean?

Telegraph obit for Margaret York (wiki), aged 80. Groundbreaking female police officer in the Los Angeles Police Force who inspired the police drama Cagney & Lacey.

I just think it’s a bit disgusting and a tad sad tbh. He’s a senile sleepy old man who belongs in a care home, not running a superpower. The man can’t even control his own wind, I don’t have much faith for him when it comes to renewables!

If there is a god, he’s very cruel in the order he taketh. The Corbynista Campbell cranks live on.

Royal Navy Vice Admiral Sir John Morrison Forbes (wiki) dead at 96. 14 months on and only 2 deaths but at least they're dying in order!

Thanks for this. I've added Dean, Close, Lancaster, Rosen, Hartley and D'Arbanville as I believe they all qualify. I don't want the list to get exhaustive. The list of actors by itself who appeared in Warhol's films runs into the hundreds. If we covered all of Andy Warhol's associates, it would run into the thousands. Rosen, btw, was born in September 1940 as per U.S. public records. She's very prominent on the NY theatre scene so expect a NY Times obit. She also writes a regular column online but hasn't contributed to it for a couple of years now.

Whilst I'm here... just noticed that Labour life peer Robert Hughes (wiki) has taken leave of absence from the House of Lords. Last spoken contribution in parliament was in December 2019 when he was sworn in. Noticeably struggled. Turns 90 on 3rd Jan and has looked like shit for years. I don't imagine he'll be returning... He was also the MP for Aberdeen North from 1970 to 1997 and chair of the British Anti-Apartheid Movement from 1976 to its dissolution in 1995.

Barbara-Rose Collins (wiki), member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Michigan (1991–1997), dead at 82 from COVID-19. The first black woman to represent Michigan in Congress.

And this led to her getting a QO... Telegraph obit. And she almost died off radar. It wasn't until her local press reported on it more than a week later that led to a stream of subsequent bigger obits. Strange how these things play out. No certainties in deadpooling I suppose.

Death notice as confirmation. -
Whoever Leslie Martens is, she just confirmed it on her Facebook.

The Warhol superstars should really have their own thread by now. Famous enough and enough of them still alive.

Not how the GRO works. People are searchable by both their married and maiden surnames.

Where in the article is that implied?

Curious to know if Margaret McGrath is still alive. One of the last (if not the last) original Windmill Girl. Daily Mail coverage from Feb 2016 when she was noted as being 97 (and still pretty active). I can't find any evidence of her death via a quick Google search (and I search of the GRO up to Dec 2019). IF still alive then she'll be 103 next year. Could get a QO...

Tom O'Connor was the first presenter of Name That Tune, and he died in July. Jools Holland may want to watch his back. Genuinely surprised that Lionel Blair was never honoured. Lots of pics of him on the news obituaries of him meeting the Queen on various occasions.
