There was also gossip that Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles were shagging. The internet is full of rubbish and you lap it up like a kitten to milk.

Betty Driver Memorial Soapstar Superstar Thread

Spoke to the admin of that site. He said the April date is correct and he's amended it. Huzzah! I'll send to IMDb. -
Betty Driver Memorial Soapstar Superstar Thread

Oh right enough the tweet did come from her, and I suppose how would she know the funeral date from an online search? Very confusing. Maybe there’s been a data input error at The Gazette then? Careless and unlikely, but possible. -

I'll do some further digging on this one later then just submit the April date if I don't get any further. Possibly someone on social media has searched the Wills and probates, put 2 and 2 together and got 5. Happens a lot. -
Yeah, I've submitted the Gazette record along with the article. Could help somewhat. I tried to update Patricia Driscoll, they just weren't having it. Credit to them where due though – they're one of the few sites which have her place of birth correct (London England, not Ireland). Even a lot of film books have this wrong.

Yes that's the one! Thanks.

Betty Driver Memorial Soapstar Superstar Thread

Can't submit this yet until we sort out the truth. This Crossroads fansite has an article from May which quotes a tweet saying "David died ‘Peacefully but unexpectedly.‘ the Daily Post noted, adding ‘David died on January 21st 2021, his funeral took place at Abergele Public Cemetery on February 4th.’" So what's happened? Two actors called David Moran have died in the same year? Unlikely given the rules of Equity about double use of the same name. -
There's no way to submit updates to Aveleyman anymore. They got rid of their email address because the person(s) who edits the site got pissed off with people submitting thousands of new movie/TV screenshots each month. Then they used to read Barbara's Obits and Memorials board for updates but that got closed earlier this year after a troll kept deliberately bumping old threads to sabotage it. I've submitted this to IMDb. They've rejected a few of my updates using The Stage and The Times as a source recently (presumably not everyone reviewing edit requests working for them has access to those paywalled/membership exclusive sites). Actually IMDb have been close to hopeless for updates lately. They refused to update Jo-Carroll Dennison even though the source I quoted was the official Miss America Organization Facebook page (with a blue tick), and only did so once a local paper covered it. In some ways it's good to see them tightening up on how strict they're being for pages, e.g. I remember about 15 years ago Mara Wilson's IMDb page for months said she was dead, and her death occurred after falling off a motorcycle and breaking her neck.

Several art pages on Facebook say so. Pretty sure he's died and it's just not been picked up. This happens a lot with artists – Vladas Meskenas and Wook Kundor spring to mind. BTW, My list of Wiki bios with subjects who are dead, but for which no reliable source exists to mark them as dead, is now in excess of 300 names. Some will get sorted in time, others possibly never.

Source? I knew he was a user, and this seems to be particularly highlighted in tabloid sources 2014 through 2018, but I don’t see anything about him being an addict or ever contemplating suicide/being in an Amy Winehouse or Pete Doherty state.

Bengal Chronicle reporting the death of Rama Khandwala (wiki), aged 95, India's oldest tour guide and one of the last remaining soldiers of the Rani of Jhansi Regiment, a women's infantry branch of the Indian National Army during World War II. Was giving TEDx talks as recent as 2019 and was last interviewed only a few days ago.

Video of her from today. She seems fine.

Do you have any deaths that are more exciting to report? Some more Indian governors or Vietnamese generals perhaps? No? Well wheesht then.

Called it. Telegraph obituary.

Facebook post reporting the death (back on September 9th) of Hollywood actress Magda Harout (IMDb), aged 95. The post is from her granddaughter. Had roles in TV and film from 1959 to 2013, including The Golden Girls, Everybody Loves Raymond, Dr. Kildare, Newhart, Without a Trace, Six Feet Under, and Seinfeld. Mentioned on my IMDb list in the Detective thread.

Johannes Von Trapp is on GB News right now slurping away on a beer and talking about his brewery. Looks a bit skeletal but sounds good and seems to have his faculties and mobilities in place for someone away to turn 83. Seems a certainty that he will outlive his sister Rosmarie to become the last living Von Trapp child.

Thoughts and Opinions on the 2021 Deathlist

I'm aware. I'm speaking hypothetically. This whole thread is in reality rather pointless. -
So Austrian cinematographer Helmut Ashley (wiki), who has been picked in several deadpools on here, died on 2nd July 2021 aged 101 according to this forum post. IMDb has updated his profile to reflect this. IMDb never uses forum/social media posts as evidence nowadays so there must be a death notice online somewhere, which will be useful for updating his Wiki. Kudos to anyone who can find it. He also went under the names Helmuth Ashley and Helmuth Fischer-Ashley, so could be under those. He died in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, according to IMDb.

Thoughts and Opinions on the 2021 Deathlist
Ulitzer95 replied to Charles De Gaulle's topic in DeathList Forum
On Gehry... yes he is well known in the UK. Some of his latest work is in the new Battersea development, for example. That's not what's at question. We should ask 1) does he feel "DeathListy"? No. 2) Do we really want a list packed with reasonably healthy nonagenarians again given how that's panned out this year?? Gehry, like Sondheim, like Chomsky, is still bloody working! -
Thoughts and Opinions on the 2021 Deathlist

Frank Williams and Linda Nolan would probably receive a section on a front page tabloid. Tom Smith, I agree, is a weak pick. I had never heard of him before he was first mentioned on here. -

That being the key phrase of your argument. Their deaths will not make front page/breaking news in the UK. Hence their inclusion is unlikely.
