    Hollywood Possibilities

Crossposting, as this is a big one: George Segal (wiki) dead at 87. Oscar nomination for Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966). Countless other roles and awards. Edit: complications of bypass surgery given as the cause.

Don’t oppose the creation of the thread in principal, but it’s author is a total cunt, and for that reason I hope a mod deletes it and merges with the Comedians thread.

    Notable Coronavirus Victims

"Bolje je nego juče", rečeno je kratko u njenoj porodici. Plavšićeva se nalazi na kovid odjeljenju, a porodica se o njenom zdravlju obavještava samo preko dežurnih sestara. Ona je od prošle sedmice na liječenju u KBC "Dragiša Mišović". Translation: "It's better than yesterday," her family said briefly. Plavsic is in the kovid ward, and the family is informed about her health only through the nurses on duty. She has been receiving treatment at the "Dragiša Mišović" Clinical Hospital since last week". "Better than yesterday" doesn't mean improving all round. Conditions can fluctuate between days. Only a week in. Next few days will be telling so let's see.

    Political Frailty

Of note, that's 3 sitting Lib Dem members of the Lords who have died in the last year. In the same timespan, just one other has retired. Evident that they're desperately trying to retain numbers in the Lords. They had about ~120 at one point in the last decade. They now have 86. Still grossly overrepresented. Noticeable that they have a lot of older peers too. Their average age must be higher compared to Labour, Conservative and Crossbench peers. No retirement home for those unlucky sods. I can imagine the briefing from Ed Davey now "No retirement home guys. We can still rejoin the EU if you all work extra hard!"

    Dead Drummers

For the avoidance of confusion... This is Skid Row, an obscure Irish blues rock band who broke up in 70s, not the American heavy metal band Skid Row, who are a household name.

Updated list on previous post to include IMDb's "living" names for 1923 births. Of note, 4 deaths uncovered (would've been 5 but IMDb beat me to one since I originally jotted all these names down a few weeks back). 2 are in limbo – Arthur and Cooper. Boyle, Geller, Elson, Dix, Stern, Senensky and Martin will be new living names to most on here I imagine. Edward Ryan was mentioned in the past. His death confirms that Kathryn Trosper (died 2016) was the last surviving actor from the iconic movie. I've also added a list of IMDb's 1924 names at the end of the post, which I'll tackle at the end of this week/start of next. It's much longer than the previous years so if any other users want to help with a few, please tuck in.

    Oldest Living football league players

@michaelf, just seen your update on Hugman's for Alec Jackson. City of Campbelltown, South Australia (wiki) and Campbelltown, New South Wales (wiki) are different places. Easy mistake to make but an important correction as they're 1300km apart.

    40. Buzz Aldrin

Ignore them. Second human on the moon, a household name and now in his 92nd year. Ofc he should have a bloody thread!

    Oldest Living football league players

For the sake of your Hugman's update @michaelf, there's a FindAGrave page for him here, with a full death date of 22 May 2010 (aged 88) and a death place of Campbelltown City, South Australia, Australia.

    Political Frailty

Lord Christopher (wiki) has taken a leave of absence from the House of Lords. This means that today marks the first time since WWII ended, that none of its veterans have sat in Parliament. Technically, he's still a member and could rescind his leave of absence and return, but given that he's 96 next month, it's doubtful.

Authors Last A Long Time, But....

Barbara Amiel, British-Canadian author and wife of Conrad Black on BBC HardTalk tonight. 81 this year. I know she’s had cosmetic work done but still looks incredible for her age.

    Life In Prison

Just reading up on Francis Clifford Smith. Ridiculous that he was in prison for so long. The U.S. justice system is nuts. Interesting to note that he was moved to a care home last year, even though he’s technically still a prisoner. That would suggest he’s only got months left to live.

    Deadpool Detective Work

Updated list on previous post to include IMDb's "living" names for 1922 births. Most are still alive but notably 4 deaths uncovered (2 recent and 2 off the radar), with potentially a 5th being Bridget Sellers (I'm 75% sure that's her death record). It'll be interesting once we get a concrete answer for Disney actress Cate Bauer as she's a serial DDP pick! My money is on still alive.

    F.W. De Klerk

Today is his 85th birthday too. Met the man about 4 years ago at an event. He was really nice, polite, stood and spoke to me for about 10 minutes then did the same with the rest of the room, which was noted by everyone after the event. That takes a lot of effort.

    The 100 Club
