What it shows is that there are always genetic outliers, nothing more. The number of people under 60 with no underlying health conditions who have died from COVID-19 in the UK is only 388 (as of 27th December 2020). That's across 12 months and millions of people within that age bracket. Once they knew the risk factors associated with morbidities i.e. age, cancers, type 1 diabetes, obesity, all those who were vulnerable should have practiced shielding, whilst the rest of us got on with our lives. These repeated lockdowns are far more devastating long term. According to the Centre for Economics and Business Research, lockdown is costing the UK economy £2.4 billion per day. It's utter madness. In 20 years time we will look back at this and acknowledge we heavily overreacted.

What were his previous health issues out of interest?

I think that photo is from circa July 2019 so not recent. @msc posted a photo from circa December on the previous page.

Peter Rowe, a former member of Cornish singing group Fisherman's Friends (wiki), died Tuesday 5th aged 88. Judging by a quick Google they have quite a following. As for me, never bloody heard of them.

Thoughts and Opinions on the 2021 Deathlist

Bit different when there’s thousands of people trying to storm an outnumbered security team... This will have spooked enough high profile names in the U.S. to up their security though. Assassinations often happen when the guard is let down, not when it’s raised. -
Lol. You got the throwback to Nazi Germany in there so kudos. You can’t set a doomsday forecast without throwing good ole Adolf in. Seriously take a look at yourself. Storm in a teacup man. It won’t even be news in a few weeks and in a few months this MAGA stuff will disintegrate. Let’s revisit this post then. I would advise many of the members on this forum to stop watch rolling news, particularly during lockdowns. It’s not only bad for your mental health but it gives you a distorted reality of how the world is actually functioning on a day to day basis by pulling the bad 1% under focus. These protests/riots are nothing. Alas people have very short term memories. I studied U.S. politics at uni. Off the top of my head I could name you hundreds of occasions when there were riots, protests, shootings, terrorism attacks, bombings, assassination attempts and the doomsday prophecies coming from the media were pretty much on par with what is being said on social media today. The truth is there has always been turmoil of some kind in the States. It’s a huge country with hundreds of millions of people, many with big differences. We’ve been here before. We’ll be here again. Storm in a teacup. It’s a very resilient country with a strong democracy and strong institutions. It will bounce back.

The situation in the Capitol is under control now and they’ve all been ejected from the building. The National Guard are there in big numbers and the proceedings of the House are set to continue. Nothing to see here etc etc. The media have nothing else to report on at the moment so they’re stirring and sensationalising this to no end. Just like they did with the BLM stuff. They love to build unrest stories up in the hope that others watching will join in. That way it keeps the story running for days for them, though likely nothing significant will happen. One random woman shot and killed. So what? Happens every time there’s a major protest but the sun will still rise tomorrow and Biden will be inaugurated and nothing will really change. A lot of the members on this forum need to calm down and stop playing into the hands of the media all the time.

The father of Joe Exotic has died. He lost his mother last April. Both of them were featured in The Tiger King documentary series on Shitflix. -
U.S. Air Colonel and test pilot Eugene Peyton Deatrick (wiki) died on 30th December according to this. Known for his rescue of American aviator and POW Dieter Dengler (1938–2001) during the Vietnam War. The events were depicted in the 2006 Christian Bale film Rescue Dawn. He'll obit if the Press spot it in time. A past DDP pick (2015).

Can I just ask what it is you think the War Veterans thread should be used for then? My understanding is that those listed in that thread are generally known for reasons only to do with military battles/events, and as such most of those known for that are generally decorated to some extent anyway?

Alan Igbon, 68, British actor (Boys from the Blackstuff, The Professionals, Coronation Street).[2] (death announced on this date) Note that it says "death announced on this date". If an exact date is unknown, they're by default listed under the date of the earliest date of announcement by a reliable source. It'll be moved once an exact date becomes clear.

The Mirror are correct. He was born in ‘52. So IMDb have been spreading an erroneous birth year around the whole web as usual. That’s the problem when you run a “database” where your staff do no first hand research but instead depend on unverified contributions from the public.

Mirror obit.

Died December 16th according to the article, and already posted before now... in the correct thread nonetheless. Use the search function.

Here, in his autobio, he says “she was fourteen when I was five.” Monkhouse was born in 1928, so means she was born c. 1918/1919. But then that doesn’t match any of the people called Edith Ashby in the records, whereas 1910 does. Only real conclusion I can draw is Monkhouse appears to be just making it up as he goes along.

New oldest first-class cricketer is an Indian (again), Raghunath Chandorkar (wiki), turned 100 in November.

Died today. Link says he was born 1920 though, so he was 100. Who is the new oldest Chinese bishop @drol? We may be on a roll here.

James Bond 007 (Connery/Moore/Villains etc)

Two more things: 1) Why would you pick up the phone half way through an interview with the press? 2) His reaction doesn’t seem genuine. “Oh. She’s alive. THANK GOD.” Eh? Then his crying looks like bad acting. I believe she’s very ill but did he put on this little show with ulterior motives? 15 minutes of fame? Perhaps he wanted to see wider reaction to her death and look at the obituaries. It took a day/day and a half to put it correct also? What’s with that? This is just a really odd case and I get the impression someone is trying to manipulate a tragic situation. -

Something stinks here. Is it possible that he’s not actually her partner but rather someone who’s a bit obsessed, hence why he never had the correct information in the first place?
