James Bond 007 (Connery/Moore/Villains etc)

Interesting to note that she is in hospital in a really bad way though following whatever happened to her on Christmas Eve. Looks like a case of when rather than if. -

God that's fucking embarrassing. As is this incidentally: "Hi, we're shoddy grade Z journos who fail to do any of our own independent research and don't deserve our paycheques. Instead we just copy and paste from other news sources online for our obituaries. But we're almost out of monies, again (lolz) so can you's all plz donates some more monies to us, PLZZZZZ." -
Still alive according to several of these peerage/royalty type forums and Google groups. I imagine there would be a newspaper death notice at the very least.
-
No, because it's complete and not subjective to my own random picking. You can never have a complete list of German people.

And now for a list that nobody asked for. Following the death of Kay Ullrich today, a list of MSPs current and former aged 75+, ordered by DOB from oldest to youngest. 1) Winnie Ewing (wiki), 91, SNP, Highlands and Islands 99–03 2) David Steel, Baron Steel of Aikwood (wiki), 82, Lib Dem, Lothians 99–03 3) Colin Campbell (wiki), 82, SNP, West of Scotland 99–03 4) Keith Harding (wiki), 82, Conservative, Mid Scotland and Fife 99–03 5) Sir George Reid (wiki), 81, SNP, Mid Scotland and Fife 99–03 then Ochil 03–07 6) Jean Turner (wiki), 81, Independent, Strathkelvin and Bearsden 03–07 7) Ian McKee (wiki), 80, SNP, Lothians 07–11 8) Robin Harper (wiki), 80, Greens, Lothians 99–11 9) Ian Jenkins (wiki), 79, Lib Dem, Tweeddale, Ettrick and Lauderdale 99–03 10) George Foulkes, Baron Foulkes of Cumnock (wiki), 78, Labour, Lothians 07–11 11) Bill Walker (wiki), 78, SNP then Independent, Dunfermline 11–13 12) James Douglas-Hamilton, Baron Selkirk of Douglas (wiki), 78, Conservative, Lothians 99–07 13) Nanette Milne (wiki), 78, Conservative, North East Scotland 03–16 14) Dennis Canavan (wiki), 78, Labour then Independent, Falkirk West 99–07 15) Dorothy-Grace Elder (wiki), 78, SNP then Independent, Glasgow 99–03 16) Ted Brocklebank (wiki), 78, Conservative, Mid Scotland and Fife, 03–11 17) Richard Simpson (wiki), 78, Labour, Ochil 99–03 then Mid Scotland and Fife 07–16 18) Gil Paterson (wiki), 78, SNP, Central Scotland 99–03 then West of Scotland 07–11 then Clyebank and Milngavie 2011–present 19) Tom Mason (wiki), 78, Conservative, North East Scotland 2017–present 20) David Davidson (wiki), 77, Conservative, North East 99–07 21) Maureen Macmillan (wiki), 77, Labour, Highlands and Islands 99–07 22) Andrew Arbuckle (wiki), 76, Lib Dem, Mid Scotland and Fife 05–07 23) Andrew Welsh (wiki), 76, SNP, Angus 99–11 24) Chic Brodie (wiki), 76, SNP, South of Scotland 11–16 25) Christine Grahame (wiki), 76, SNP, South of Scotland 99–11 then Midlothian South 2011–present 26) Christopher Harvie (wiki), 76, SNP, Mid Scotland and Fife 07–11 27) Alasdair Morgan (wiki), 75, SNP, Galloway and Upper Nithsdale 99–03 then South of Scotland 03–07 28) Rob Gibson (wiki), 75, SNP, Highlands and Islands 03–11 then Caithness, Sutherland and Ross 11–16 29) Mike Pringle (wiki), 75, Lib Dem, Edinburgh South 03–11 Quite a few Scottish members on this Forum. Anyone know much about the health of some of the names here? I'm aware of Winnie Ewing being ill. I think Bill Walker has also been ill. Nanette Milne and Tom Mason have had illnesses in the past. Mason will surely be standing down next time, even if he hasn't announced his retirement yet.

I imagine so. That's the start of the process anyway. The Commons will now conclude their own investigation, if she's suspended then her constituents will be able to launch a recall petition. Not that it makes any difference. The SNP are polling so high in that part of Scotland right now, and the their base support is so cultish that if they put up Peter Tobin as a candidate they'd still win.

Waiting for someone to prove me wrong but I think these are the only surviving cousins of the Queen now: Sir Simon Bowes-Lyon (88) Prince Edward, Duke of Kent (85) Princess Alexandra (84) Michael Bowes-Lyon (80) Prince Michael of Kent (78) Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester (76) Still think the Queen will outlive all of them.

I’m not interested in getting into a knee deep argument about this. I’m not one of the arseholes on here who goes around trashing the threads of others. It’s a very good idea for a game, but it’s just that. A game. It doesn’t matter if it’s one or multiple persons who have compiled the names – they’re subjective and limited, not broad and inclusive of the entire subject. It’s a game and belongs in Dead Pools. As for reporting on deaths, in almost all cases it’s more appropriate to post in threads relating to their profession/notability etc politics, actors, famous for being ill etc. For foreign personalities who are only really known in their respective countries, there’s the Foreign Personalities thread. I believe there’s also a German thread somewhere, and possibly a Swiss one so not buying this argument.
-
Doesn’t matter if it’s one person or multiple people. It’s a personal list which is subjective to that person’s predictions, rather than being a wide open topic, and therefore belongs in Dead Pools.
-
Great idea but this thread belongs in Dead Pools.
-
Died in December so wrong thread.

Signed Wee Nippy up as a member supposedly. No MSPs died last year. I suspect Grim will be playing catch up in 2021, particularly with a lot of ageing 99ers.
-
An obit of sorts. Last surviving actor from the 1966 Christopher Lee film Dracula, Prince of Darkness. Also last surviving adult cast member of Village of the Damned (1960). Peter Craze, who died a few days ago, was a co-star of hers in The Secret of Blood Island (1964). The lead in that, Jack Hedley is still alive at 90. Lee Montague, 93, also survives from that film.
-
Guardian obit.

Hmmm, interestingly says he survived COVID-19 in the spring, but did from pneumonia in the winter. Likely it weakened his respiratory system.
-
Genuinely wasn’t aware that he was a real person. It’s what you imagine most hardcore WoW fans to look like though. Edit: Ah wait. I see the guy based himself on the character. Not the other way round. Surely that’s worse!
-
He’s dead. See the other posts.
-
Telegraph obit. Great quick initial spot there @drol.

I predict the grim reaper is going to confound sceptics and be its most powerful yet like a super strong enema in 2024 moreso than recent years equalling or even beating 2020

"Days or weeks". That's a bit like going to see a spiritualist/medium and they come out with "I can see a woman. She's got hair... and she's wearing a top, and I get the sense that you were quite close to her". -
Christ, I'm all for criticising the DL but it's only 3rd January. How the bloody hell is this on three pages already? There hasn't even been a greatly significant miss yet. Patience ppl!

A bit late for posting this, but here's my 2021 DDP team. First year I've entered (as Dead by Dawn) since 2017: Tom Parker (joker) Bobby Angelo Kim Weston Sidney Cooke Katherine Jackson Tim Curry Russ Tamblyn Robert Fyfe Larry Storch Winnie Ewing Mary Holt Michael Moore Eddie Stobart Sarah Harding Philippe de Gaulle Gail Halvorsen Dilip Kumar James Watson Sister Paula Nielsen Carlos Menem Quite an old list so hoping for a high threshold of returns to make up for some points!

Dame Elmira Minita Gordon (wiki) who was the first Governor-General of Belize (1981–1993) following its independence, and the only woman to date to hold the position, has died just a few days after turning 90.

Updated for the death of Gerry Marsden. Just Maguire left. I would like to say he'll definitely obit, but look at what happened to Chadwick!
-
Sad news. His death means that only Les Maguire (wiki), 80 this year, survives from the charting Gerry and the Pacemakers. I'll update the UK Singles Chart page later once we get a certain date of death.

We believe she is. There's no way of being sure because the GRO Index doesn't have any of 2020's deaths listed in it.
