Dr Ruth is really getting on and may go soon. I’d give Dubs a few more years, still quite active I believe. -

Saw this earlier. He was also one of the children saved via Kindertransport during World War II. There's a handy Wiki list of all of the notable ones here. Quite a few of them died this year. -

He's had many business ventures since then! Amstrad PCs were a drop in the ocean for him in the grand scheme of things. Also, you're showing your age. -
Weston E. Vivian (wiki) who represented Michigan in Congress from 1967–67 died back on 4th December, aged 96. Obit.

Two notable names on my radar joining the 100 club today: Eddie Robinson (wiki), oldest living Major League Baseball player and last survivor of the 1943 Navy World Series. Peter Lloyd OBE (wiki), Australian aviator. Both WWII vets, and both borderline chances of QOs I reckon. Edit: Both dead now.

This is a very odd one. His death wasn't exactly underreported in March 2016. He featured on the Deaths in March 2016 section on Wiki at the time and his page was instantly (and heavily) updated. God knows why they picked him! Confusion over a similarly named player? Maybe @Octopus of Odstock can shed some light?

Really don't understand why so many people dislike Alan Sugar so much. He gets on people's tits and I find it quite funny. Plus the people he rubs up the wrong way are often those we love to see getting wound up anyway i.e. Piers Morgan, Jeremy Corbyn, Donald Trump. -
It surely is for COVID. The desk behind her also has one fitted too. I don’t think @PoliticalGroove is a reliable news source.

Gee us a summary Wee Jum! Am no reading all that!

Interested in this lady, because I strongly suspect she's still with us. Joan Curry (wiki), English squash and tennis player during the 1940s and 50s. Birth name Patricia Joan Curry, married George E. Hughesman. Interviewed in 2004. Appeared in the 2010 electoral register living in Kingston, London as Patricia J. Hughesman. Doesn't appear in the GRO up to December 2019 and can't find any mention of a death anywhere. Born December 1918 so turns 102 this month I suppose! Anybody come across her before / have any alternate info?

That I don’t understand either. What do they squander it on? They’re never out of the spotlight. Never before has a set of siblings been so pointlessly celebrated for doing bugger all. They’re like Pikey poundshop versions of the Kardashians.
-
They’re so inappropriate. Are they ever out of the press? One has to wonder how much the tabloids pay them a pop, because they’re like feral cats. They just keep coming back.

3 days late to the party but he did it. Prince Philip became the oldest Duke ever on Thursday.

Are you Sir Cunt’s Siamese twin?

Updated entry. Long dead. Mentioned here and here.

Updated entry for the death of double bassist and tuba player Jim Bray. Who's Who of British Jazz had him living in 2004 and mention that he was resident in India but occasionally visited the UK. This family tree on Ancestry says he died in India in 2007. Greig was the last to go then, and the entire charting act is now gone.

OK, checked this one and it actually seems legit. Don Marion Davis (wiki), silent film actor and the last known actor to have appeared in any film from the 1910s, allegedly dead at 103. The editor claims to be his grandson and his past user contributions to the page (all constructive) can be seen here. RIP. Leaves only Mildred Kornman, Garry and and Billy Watson and possibly Silas Hathaway as survivors from the silent era. -

Yup. At least 6 of the child actresses who played munchkins are still with us. The film studio couldn’t find enough dwarf actors to fulfil the village scenes so they put around a dozen child actresses in the background to compensate. -

Good list with a few exceptions. Don’t see Trump or Assange going anytime soon. Also, Bassey and Gehry are still very active for their age.
