Oh you are mad! Welcome to the forum btw. Always great to have conspiracy theorists pop by. Makes me feel relatively sane by comparison.

Gawd. Cancer can affect anyone, but a lot of the time it’s prevalence (and particularly the prevalence of certain cancers) is genetic. There doesn’t appear to be a prevalence of certain types of cancer amongst the Royals BUT many of them have had cancer through the years as this page demonstrates. Amongst them, the Queen Mother (colon, 1966 and breast, 1984), George VI (lung, 1951) then further back many more. Two more things – with the invasive nature of the UK press these days, if any of today’s Royals had or have had cancer, they wouldn’t want it revealed. Likely in the extended family several have had the big C and overcome it or died from it but not made the cause of death public. Then ofc there’s the fact that the Royals, despite some of their less than kind stereotypes, are pretty athletic, keen on the outdoors and have very rich diets. They also drink moderately and with the exception of one or two (eg Camilla), don’t smoke.

    Prince Philip Duke Of Edinburgh

He’s publicly retired. Picks and chooses which ones he goes to now. Normally limits them to things like weddings and photo calls of himself and the Queen. He’s probably sat up on the couch watching telly and necking a bottle of the hard stuff. I can picture him saying “Bah carols, no bloody thanks!” Providing that he makes it that far, I think we’ll see some of him during his 100th birthday celebrations in 6 months.

Who Should Make The Deathlist In 2021?

No. 1) He is “only” 81. She’s 91, but both appear to be in good health 2) They’re not notable enough for DL. Known for being the first in something is not the same as being a well known personality.

    Dead Danes

Above is James Dean, one of the most fuckable men to have ever graced Hollywood. Below is "Danish James Dean". To me the difference is like paying £250 for a designer coat or opting for the £20 ripoff from a backstreet Chinese market, which you may have to deflea when you get home. The Danes can pipe down

Chuck Yeager being reported dead on his official Twitter account. Now that’s a big death! Surprised he doesn’t have his own thread. I mean he was only the first man to break the speed of sound.

    UK Singles Chart

Maybe a little premature but thought I'd do a cut and paste job to create a chronological list of all the 50s, 60s and 70s hitmakers who left us this year seeing as that number now stands at 108 (with 9 of them being from COVID-19). If I missed anyone, or if any fellow DLers spot mistakes, or find any of the missing DOBs/DODs, ages etc. please let me know! No doubt there will be others to add later, but here's the summary so far... Updated entry for the death of Frank White in late March, which I've only come across now. Picked up by the local newspaper, annoyingly they don't give a date or an age! A post on Facebook says he was born in Darnell in Sheffield. There was only one Francis White who was born in Sheffield in the 1930s–40s. FRANCIS M WHITE, birth registered Jan–Mar 1944. Must be him.

    Leo Beenhakker

There is no logic to the choosing of the List by the Committee. Basically they meet up in the local pub for a piss up, get outrageously drunk and write a bunch of random names on a piece of paper then play "eenie meenie miney mo". True story.

    Golf: The 19th Hole

Alive and well aged 81 it seems. Retired in 2014. Made appearances in 2018 and 2019 and there's some videos of him on YouTube. Sad news about Alliss. He was on my long list as well as being a former DL pick. He taught Sean Connery to play golf for the scenes in Goldfinger!

    Prince Philip Duke Of Edinburgh

Giving the throne up for Charles would ruin the fun though. She's playing the world's longest game of "keep away" in trolling her own son. He'll be 80 by the time he gets there. In 10 years from now William and Kate will only be 48. IMO they should take over, but ofc that's not how it works. Charles would have to agree that's the best way forward. He'd have to give up his titles and vacate the lineage to the throne (possible but not straight forward) OR take the throne for one day then abdicate in favour of William.

    The 19th Death of 2020

Bob Dole easily winning, and yet StarTiger suggests he will likely see 2021, as he's still signing and returning autographs as of November. I went with Leslie Phillips.

    Prince Philip Duke Of Edinburgh

Assuming Philip goes within the next 2 years (which isn't in itself a certainty), I think QEII will live for at least another decade BUT we should probably start putting her on the List circa 2025. People need to get this nonsense out of their head about Philip dying then the Queen suddenly going down hill afterwards. For much of the year they're separated, and more so lately given Philip's retirement from public life. She did have a life prior to him and she will have one after him, regardless of length of marriage. Her focus has always been on service to her country, hence why I don't believe she will abdicate. She'd rather make Charles "Prince Regent" before doing that, whereby he fulfils all of her duties but she remains monarch in name. One of my friends used to be a butler for the Royals (no it isn't bloody Paul Burrell) and one thing he always stressed to me was the resilience of Her Majesty. She lost her father at a young age, and in the last two decades has watched as those from both the generation above her (the Queen Mother, Auntie Alice etc) and her own generation (friends, cousins, bridesmaids) have all passed away. She's always felt deep sorrow as such but springs back all the same. She's come to expect Philip's death for a long while now. He's been hospitalised on numerous occasions. I sincerely doubt that when he turned 90 she expected him to be around for another decade. She'll be very grateful that he's still by her side but by now she would have also come to terms with the fact that he likely won't be around for a great deal longer. She'll go on and in mid–2024 she'll become the longest reigning sovereign monarch in world history. And if other users are skeptical about my forecast, they only need to go back to April 2018 in this thread, when I said Philip will reach his centenary. That was 32 months ago. He's only got 6 to go. Most on here bet on him being gone ages ago. Never write the Royals off easily. They don't get a cold then suddenly they're dead. It's degeneration that gets them always, and it takes a lot longer than most because they live very active lives and have access to the best healthcare money can buy.

    Prince Philip Duke Of Edinburgh

Worth noting that Prince Philip will become the oldest ever British Duke in a week from today (10th December) when he turns 99 years and 6 months. He’ll overtake the 8th Duke of Wellington who died on 31st December 2014 aged 99 years, 5 months, 29 days.

People Who Are Dead According To Wikipedia...

Italian-born American film and television actor Antony Carbone (wiki) allegedly died in October at 95. Recognisable from the horror film The Pit and the Pendulum and from his appearances in The Twilight Zone, amongst other things. IMDb has his DOB as 1927, so may have been 93. Though they also had a date of death for him listed for years on their site, before finally scrubbing it after realising it wasn't true. Guess the only way we'll find out if he's truly gone this time is if he appears on Equity's next In Memoriam list. Speaking of... anyone got access to the latest issue? Would be good to have a flick through and see who's died off radar!

    Derby Dead Pool 2021

You do realise that they need to get a British obit in order to score points? What would be the point in playing her? The Guardian are not going to run an article about a 99 year old Croatian woman who once beat COVID but has now died anyway, because IT'S NOT NEWS!
