*Crossposting* As pointed out by @redrumours in the UK Singles Chart thread, Derek Quinn, guitarist on the hits of beat group Freddie and the Dreamers (wiki) died back in October. Wiki suggests he died from COVID-19 on the morning of the 22nd. Must've been quick because he was promoting gigs the week prior.

Wow, amazing! I've found her on Ancestry. Arlene Faye Neubauer. It doesn't have a full date sadly, just says born c. 1937 in Pennsylvania (which makes sense as her mum had Philadelphia links according to her obit). She then went to school in Indianapolis. Edit: Married NEIL Michel Martin in 1966 in Indianapolis. And now I've just found them on Clustrmaps still living together in NYC. He was born 24 Aug 1932 (which matches his NY birth record on Ancestry). She was born 02 Apr 1937. Another act complete @YoungWillz! Great find, cheers.

Thanks for this. In the obit for Helen Miles (1919–2012) on Legacy, the Helen Miles Singers are not mentioned. I'm therefore skeptical about adding these details in. It's possible IMDb have muddled up two people with the same name in the way that they did for Martell. What's certain is that the two did perform together in the Helen Miles Singers. Martell is still alive on Facebook. It says she was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. Currently lives in New York City and her husband is Neil. I would say she's in her 80s. That isn't in line with Helen's birth year of 1919, so I'm reluctant to punch it in. Likewise, little to nothing catching my attention on Ancestry. I guess we'll have to wait.

I never thought it was a good format for a gameshow tbh. Really tried to get into it several times. I don't understand the point in asking a question backwards. Is it supposed to be quirky? Does it make you extra smart? Is it more entertaining? No. I think we're dealt a good hand in the UK with The Chase, Eggheads, Millionaire etc. Though we have had some real shit too admittedly. "Cleverdicks" hosted by Ann Widdecombe springs to mind.

Shocked that no major news organisations have reported this yet. Same with actor John Fraser. The British press are still too busy salivating about the news of Biden/Harris. Even the U.S. media have pretty much stopped talking about it constantly on rolling news by now.

There were 456 centenarians in Ireland in 2018. Assuming that hasn't gone down on a yearly average, it should be about the same now. Partition of Ireland was on 3rd May 1921. So you need to add in 6 months of people who are not quite centenarians. So just taking a punt but maybe 600+? Maybe "one of the last" notable people but it will be quite a few years until we're down to the last few.

Hmmm. Symptoms are more or less chronic fatigue syndrome. Difficult to live with but it shouldn't kill you. It could, of course, drive some to suicide, but with a partner, a good career and a young daughter, I would be surprised.

I love that movie. It's so awful that it's good. Still, never had the courage to watch its four(!!) sequels. I get the impression they'd be really hard to watch. A bit like the later Elm Street and Friday the 13th sequels!
