That's a massive miss. One of my favourite actors. Met him once in London City Airport when I was a kid. He gave me my autograph and was really pleasant, which was somewhat of a relief given that he didn't have the best reputation for dealing with fans. Can't say I always approved of him as a person. The allegations of abuse against his first wife and his tax evasion left a lot of people frowning, but as an actor, nobody can dispute he was truly amazing.

Amfilohije Radović (wiki), the most senior bishop of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Montenegro and controversial figure, dead from COVID-19 aged 82. Worth noting that current head of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Irinej (wiki), is now 90 and guaranteed to obit. He succeeded Pavle (1914–2009) who was a DDP favourite until his demise.

Thanks @YoungWillz. I was losing my head over this last night. 1) Ashton – Having had another look, the stronger sources online do indicate that Ashton performed on Hey Girl. So I've added him. Some amateur "golden oldies" groups on FB seem to wish him a happy birthday every year. A little bit embarrassing because the Ancestry records clearly show he died way back in 1979... probably from his alcoholism. 2) Cottle – Spent ages looking for birth/married records of him and Futcher on Ancestry. Couldn't find anything. What I did find however was her birth record: Judy Dianne Futcher b. 24 Aug 1945 in North Carolina. The death record for the Albert Cottle I previously found lived in Georgia, but he was from the same area of North Carolina as Futcher. It's him (given that he seems to be the only Albert Cottle on there I'm not surprised but I wanted proof!). He was only 40 when he died. Just speculation but it kind of looks like his bandmate went off with his wife then he took his own life? Happy families. Anyway, added. 3) Smith – great find! That link didn't come up on Google when I searched. Alive and seemingly well then. We have a full house!

Thanks. Added Flowers and Newman, turning 83 and 78 next year! With Fenton ruled out it just leaves Green and Anderson as possibilities. I'll revisit it in the future. Edit: This tends to suggest that Green played on Truck on (Tyke) so I've added him. 2nd edit: Satisfied as per this that Miller did not play on I Love to Boogie or The Soul of My Suit. This says he appeared on Laser Love though, so added.

According to his own Facebook he was 78 in 2013 meaning he was born 1935/6 (records say 1936 to be precise). Obits for Charles Pope erroneously state that he was the last living original member. Smith outlived him and was still with us as of 2019. NB2: Today the group is led by Albert Cottle Jr. (b. 1969) who is referred to in multiple sources as being Charles Pope's son. He is the biological child of Albert Cottle, but Pope became his stepfather in 1981 after marrying Judy Dianne Futcher (b. 1945), who was previously wed to Cottle Sr. The Collins Complete UK Hit Singles book and various sources online erroneously give Cottle's DOB as 02 Aug 1941.

Twitter have removed the post but not disciplined the author. Disappointing but sadly not a surprise. If it was a politically extreme far right/far left comment or even something homophobic from a Christian perspective, they would come down on them like a ton of bricks. Sensitivity of a specific religion (Islam) is not healthy as it often leads to a free pass for those on the fringes of that religion to spout hate. We must be free to vigorously scrutinise and criticise all religions in equal measure.

Indeed. He’s very good at maintaining neutrality, and thus a credit to the Beeb. Privately he’s a Nat. Dunno if you saw my edit above. There will be more but just heard that Isobel Fraser and Reevel Alderson from Reporting Scotland are going too. 60 of them going altogether. The aim is to save £6.2 million.

A relative of mine. Edit: Should probably add that his retirement isn’t health related. Big cutbacks at Beeb Scotland. A lot of the big beasts are going as a result. Gordon Brewer is going too.

Nah. COVID-19 is no more deadly for the vast majority of people with HIV than it is for any average "healthy" person, with the exception of those who are HIV+, and unaware of their positive status – hence they won't be on effective HIV meds and their CD4 cell count will be compromised, making their immune system vulnerable. -

A good way to measure fame is look at their Wiki and see how many other languages they have an article in. Astin has one in 9 other languages which is quite a lot for an actor. He was nominated for an Oscar, but his leading role in the Addams Family alone makes him pretty big.

Wow, thank you both! @YoungWillz, as you said, their record label has fibbed about their ages (by a year for Bray and Harris and by 2 years for the other 3). @RoverAndOut – the records you found for Twigg and Croshaw are definitely right, and I've located the other 3 – much easier when you have middle initials! The World Radio Mirror article is wrong about Bray's birthplace though – he was not born in Coventry, but nearby Meridan! Hence why neither of us could find him either. Updated. The entry has gone from almost empty to complete. All still alive according to the Electoral Register also. Al-Douri was the last high profile name still at large. There were two lists compiled. The Most Wanted Iraqi playing cards (52 names), and the slightly larger U.S. List of Most Wanted Iraqis (55 names). It’s the same 5 still at large on both lists: Kazim, Hani Tilfah, Rafi Tilfah, Habbush and Saif al-Rawi. Nobody is really looking for these people. They weren’t high profile or central to Saddam’s regime as such. 17 years have passed. It’s possible they’ll continue to evade capture and die in (relative) freedom like al-Douri.

B-b-but... they have a vaccine?!
-
Theres one picture and it's available here. Could be him. Hard to tell though.
-
The Jerusalem Post sum it up quite nicely. “Reported dead – again”.
-
The key word there being “seemingly”. The Ba’ath Party was the source for his death in April 2015 as well. I know you’re impatient at waiting for death confirmations drol, and it’s clear that it annoys you but perhaps just hold out until an official body confirms it rather than claiming to know more than the sources currently available.
-
I would advise caution. His death has been announced by Ba’athist Party sources and then subsequently refuted several times in the past. As the article you’ve just quoted says, he is a fugitive and it hasn’t been verified. Wise to wait for confirmation from either the Iraqi or American government.
