Seeing as you seem to be unfamiliar with what means, her death was already discussed in the same thread, more than 20 hours before you posted it.

Well that's annoying. His nephew is my mate, and he told a little while ago that he had been unwell. Was going to play him in the DDP.

January will mark 10 years since the great Jack LaLanne died, aged 96. Something which I'm still pissed off about because I'm a great believer in his way of living, and I think he could've gone on for another 5-10 years had pneumonia not come at him as hard and fast as it did. (I know, I know... shoulda could woulda... not how life works out!) Anways... His widow, Elaine "LaLa" LaLanne will be 95 in March. Still going strong, seems very lively and works out daily. Famous in her own right as a fitness guru. I can see her getting a qualifying obit in the form of the Mail Online at the very least. Interview here from a couple of months ago:

Here's someone of interest. Mollie Walker MBE. Born February 1909. A member of the Women's Voluntary Service (WVS) during WWII. Surely the oldest living person in the UK with an honour?
-
For a very good reason. World records must be scientifically measured. Karam and Katari Chand were born in a country where official record did not become compulsory until much later. As such, there's no reason why they couldn't have been 10 years younger than they both claimed and/or they got married much later than claimed.

Claims to be immortal. We’ll see...

Good spot! According to the second table here, they're the oldest British siblings ever. Lilian is 112 next month. Gwen is 109 next month. Gwen lives in Australia.
-
List of oldest Brits can be sourced from here. It notes that she goes by the name of Lilian Priest (Lilian being her middle name). She's now the last person living in the UK born in 1908.

Worth noting that Scottish folk singer Jock Duncan is still alive. Turning 96 next year. I don't think he's on the radar for many due to the lack of Wikipedia page but certainly notable and likely to obit. Picked in the DDP about a decade ago. I assumed he had died, but apparently not.

People Who Are Dead According To Wikipedia...

"Please keep country singer, Margie Bowes in your prayers. She is in CCU at Baptist Hospital after another stroke and has suffered kidney and lung damage. This is her 6th admission in 6 months." From a 2013 Facebook post. Sounds like she's had a lot of borrowed time since. I see also that she was in a bad car accident in 1995 and that her only child died in January aged 57. Pretty bad luck all round. -

It doesn't sound like he's about to drop dead to me. The key with coronary issues is always picking them up in time, if and when they develop. Arnie can afford the best healthcare. Like Dick Cheney, he'll be drugged up and have the best tech to keep his ticker going.
-
If Tracey Emin took a dump on them, placed them at the centre of a bell jar and called it "My Lunch" they might.
-
This is another area of Wikipedia policy that irritates me. All the official records suggests that McLaurin was born 8 years after when she claims, and yet in the world of Wikipedia adding birth/census records is considered "uncyclopedic" and "original research" (a term they spring upon you when you bother to go and collect the info for yourself – they don't like it when you're too smart)... and yet anything written by a journalist is taken as gospel. A really backward way to run the world's second most visited website... and really not useful when we as DeathListers are trying to use all avenues available to us to establish if someone is living/dead/younger or older than they claim to be. McLaurin and Singh are con artists – they know fine well they're not the age they claim to be. They're duping the British and American press, who are lapping it up because it sells.
-
It's not "surprising". The world's oldest man was born in 1909. I wouldn't expect there to be any famous men alive who are 2-3 years younger than the world's oldest. There are a few names you missed from a list here.
-
Of the ones definitely alive, yes just the three names above following the deaths of John Henderson, Roberta McCain and Viola Smith (and all within a month!). There are another two names who are a bit iffy: 1) Draja Mickharic: Bosnian-born American author on witchcraft. Used to have a Wiki page, it was deleted for lack of notability. Birth year came from his publisher and is likely exaggerated. Living a few years ago, possibly dead now. Ancestry trurns up zero records so clearly a pseudonym/pen name. 2) Fakuda Hiroshisen (wiki): Japanese poet. Google doesn't turn up much. Active in the 2000s. Again, possibly dead.
-
Interestingly her Washington Post obit says Viola Smith's cause of death was Alzheimer's disease. Not what you'd expect in a 107 year old... particularly given that she was drumming as recently as 12–18 months ago. Must've been a quick decline.
-
Dude, the post literally one above yours.

Managed to find the birth years of Timmy and John. They were sharing a property in Camden, NJ with Butch in 1985. Still can't get Jimmy and William. The one above could very well be William but I'm running around in circles here sadly. Most of the brothers appear to be on Facebook but privacy settings prevent me from seeing birthdays etc. I think they're all still in Camden, NJ. 4/6 ain't bad!
-
@msc I did wonder where I had heard it from before! That explains it as I normally have Sky Sports on in the background if I'm at home. Interesting story @Toast. According to Kellichan's FB, him and his missus are now living in Benidorm! Looks like he's still keen on the fags. Not ideal when you're approaching 70!
