If it happens then surely you'd consult the parts of the Bible which refer to false prophets and consider it an act of God? Seems more logical to me. The Bible states that God will let no harm come to his true followers.

If the answer is yes will you hysterically break down into tears, prompting the nurse to appear with a warm blanket and a biscuit for you?

Ah. I will scrub "1950s" then. Another problem with birth records is that they didn't historically always record middle initials such as "J".
-
Sadly can't locate them in the Electoral Register (possible they're not on it). Terence J Sullivan – there are none born between 1939 and 1951. Then, like buses, six come along at once (between 1952 and 1955). 4 from London, one from Cheltenham, one from Brighton. Seems likely he is one of them. I'm looking at pictures. He does look to be between 22 and 26 years old at the time of their hit I would say? And it's believable that he's a bit younger than the rest of the band. I've put it as "1950s – Living" for now.
-
Almost. Just looked at the list on Wiki. Marge Champion is still alive.
-
I've been through this with you already. You don't get to decide what merits a WWII veteran. There are official bodies that do it. According to the U.S. Senate website, Senator Andrews is listed as a WWII vet. Now, as we say in Scotland, haud yer wheesht.
-
Updated. Mark Andrews (wiki), Republican Representative (North Dakota, 1963–81) and Senator (ND, 1981–87) has died aged 94. Just 4 WWII vets who served as Senators living now.

Yeah I agree, even somewhat embarrassing in certain instances but at least all these guys went on to have respectable careers! Better than a heroin overdose I suppose. Harris – certainly wasn't born in Scotland as I've checked the records there. Nothing coming up on Ancestry or the GRO. Grrr researching these things would be 10x easier if the English/Welsh records had middle names like the Scottish ones! Smythe – cheers, added! Bloomfield – I see the resemblance. Likely our guy. I think I saw an interview with him somewhere so he hasn't fallen off the earth. Sadly can't seem to narrow down where he's from otherwise I'd be able to pinpoint him in the GRO.

Firmly with Book and Lord Fellatio Nelson on this one. Never liked them. Thought their songs lack any depth and are just a bit "meh". Don't know anyone in person who's a fan and their popularity has always surprised me given that there are 1000s of better bands that never made it in the same way.

@Paul Bearer I will literally pay you to lock this thread. Please name your price.

Cheers. Their own site was my first port of call and I did exactly the same thing – tried to find MacLeod on FreeBMD via clues about his origins. None born in Benfleet/Southend but there are two born in the Essex area during that period. Could be either of them tbh! It says on Parry's page that he was 27 in the "early 80s" so born 1950s. Not enough to narrow it down either though.
