Ludwig Bauer has died aged 97. He used to have a Wiki page (before it got deleted). Mentioning him because I think there is now a very small handful of Knights Cross recipients still living. The only two I know by name: *Gerhard Sommer, turns 99 this month *Hugo Broch, 98, who people better know as the Luftwaffe ace who got to fulfil his life-long dream of flying in a spitfire aged 95, with the help of Dan Snow

Nicolas Rea, 3rd Baron Rea, died on Monday aged 91 according to the UK Parliament site. Before taking an active role in the House, he was an Army doctor, serving in Nigeria before becoming a GP in north London. A hereditary peer, he first sat in the House of Lords in 1982 and was elected to remain in 1999 when the reforms came in. His death means that The 3rd Viscount Simon, 79, is the last Labour hereditary elected to stay in 1999 still living.

So I haven’t found any records for him at this stage, but Roger McGough does note in this book that Peter Batten was interviewed by The Sunday Telegraph in 1999 (he even quotes him). Presumably after The Guardian put out that article in the same year saying he had disappeared. Haven’t found anything more yet but I’ll get to the bottom of it.
-
See her thread.
-
Only made public today though...
-
I would need at least his year of birth to uncover anything. According to this 1999 Guardian article he vanished without a trace after the production of YS!
-
Death record from Ancestry gives us the date – 8th April 2009 aged 66. And the GRO confirms he died in Lambeth.
-
It’s not my game. @chilean way is running this. I’m sure he’ll say you can enter ppl who are dead or likely dead if you like! You just won’t get any points
-
God knows. I thought Bob Weighton would live to 115. It’s a game of roulette with centenarians. Personally I just don’t see it.
-
Rota Onorio, Bill Graham and Gunther Schwagermann are almost certainly deceased. They’re just missing dates of death on Wiki.
-
Yes. At least five.
-
And to prove my point, ppl were tweeting about Thurlow’s death 2 days ago.
-
It’s not a farce at all. The same rule carries in just about every single deadpool. There’s a small chance players could pick up on news of a death elsewhere, including on social media or forums, even though it still hasn’t been reported on more widely. That rule has to apply across the board. If you wanted the points, should’ve entered earlier.

Out of interest @drol, how many names from 1926 are still outside the list of 30? Just Adamkus and Dizdarevic?
-
My usual pick, grrrr. Ok, I’ll take Luis Echevveria please. His son killed himself last week and I think that may contribute to finishing him off.

Crossposting. Youssoufi dead at 96.

Abderrahmane Youssoufi has died aged 96. He was hospitalised several days ago. I shall let @drol confirm and congratulate though.

I knew this wouldn't have just been Wiki vandalism. The Hollywood Reporter confirm that she did die on 10th February aged 95!! They appear to have clocked her death after it was listed in the latest SAG-AFTRA magazine. Speaking of which... does anyone have access to the latest copy so they can see if anyone else has gone off radar? -
According to his LinkedIn, his name is Eddie James Summers. Klunis seems to be a stage name. On Ancestry there’s an Eddie J Summers who married a Laura Broomfield in L.A. in 1966. He was born in Cherokee, Texas on 23 Aug 1947. If a book or an article etc. can link any of these details, then it’s him. Nothing comes up for “Edward” in place of Eddie.
