Correct. However, it's not all bad news. The records for peers, baronets, knights and dames have been saved here by someone who was kind enough to copy all of the info to their site. Leigh spent decades compiling this so thankfully it's not lost. What they haven't copied is the historical list of MPs. This is a bigger loss as no other site online has this data (loads of it is missing from Wiki). Watch this space though as I am going to retrieve it from the internet archive using the Wayback Machine and copy to a site of my own, along with the full UK singles chart once I finish compiling it (may take some time but 60% through the 50s and 60s so far – I'm going to upload that first then do all of the subsequent decades over the next year). I still have no idea what I'm going to call the site...

Yes, patience is key. Longest I lost my taste and smell for was about a fortnight after a really nasty chest infection back when I was a smoker. If it persists beyond the weekend maybe try a saline spray? Other than that there’s nothing you can do. Just have to wait for your body to reset itself.

Nobody's death is "confirmed" by inclusion on Wikipedia.

Gene Deitch, American children's illustrator and animator, dead at 95. All over Czech media as he was an expat there. A long-time pick on the 20/20 dead pool.

Careful now. You'll get a full blown rant from Deathray tonight after he's sunk his 3rd or 4th glass of wine.

BBC quick on this one due to their live feed. -
Paracetamol should be okay and will ease the symptoms of your body's response. I'd just advise you to stay clear of ibu-profen Vitamin C and D3 are very good. I would also advise Omega 3 – it's more use against a bacteria than a virus but still effective.

Yes, and the editor who proposed it sounds like a Grade A cockwomble. -
It works both ways though. For example, there are people who are included in the number of daily death stats who HAD the virus (having caught it in their hospital bed) but died of something else, and would have died otherwise. I reckon it about balances out and the death stats are fairly accurate.

British archaeologist Aubrey Burl dead at 94. Championed the idea that the bluestones at Stonehenge had been deposited nearby by a glacier and merely exploited by its builders. Very popular in his field, with dozens of tributes Facebook and Twitter already. Expect him to obit. -

An editor on Wiki seems to think he was 85 at the time of his death, not 66 as reported, which would make a lot more sense if you look at the pictures of him. -
The good folk over at Wikipedia have kindly made a page for him.

90% sure I've found her now. According to the GRO index, Jane Baker was born in 1924 so actually older than Pip and they lived for roughly the same amount of time.

Well he’s top of the page on the Recent Deaths page on Wikipedia and the obit writers definitely use it...

Maybe the best you're going to get... Facebook obit courtesy of an Israeli ageing charity. In the current climate he'll be lucky if he gets a proper write up. Doomed to be alive on Wikipedia forever? Perhaps. This is Wiki need to relax their guidelines on social media. If the account reporting the news is an organisation or verified notable figure, it should be considered reliable. -
Yeah I'm no fan either. Can't even laugh at the video for Is this the Way to Amarillo now cos it features Mr Savile dancing alongside.

Not a QO, but local paper reporting on his death.
