I saw that. He hasn't been in any films since the 50s. I imagine he's most certainly dead.

    Boris Johnson

Gove was on the news literally half an hour ago giving an update. He said PM spent night in ICU, didn't need a ventilator.

    Boris Johnson

Lady Miloska Nott, his wife, is also still alive at 85. Notable in her own right as a charity fundraiser and received an OBE from Her Maj a few years ago.

I wonder if John Nott, reading Day's obituary muttered "Here today, gone tomorrow".

    Hollywood Possibilities

    Colditz

Thanks! I genuinely spent 3 minutes scrolling through pages trying to figure out where to post it before I just dumped him in the Johnny Foreigner thread.

Foreign Personalities, From Stage, Screen, Politics And Life

Hans Meyer, South African actor of German descent, died on April 4th aged 94 according to this French blog. Best known in the UK for his role in the series Colditz. His filmography is pretty extensive! Awaiting obit. Nothing on his website, yet.

    Honor Blackman

The Telegraph, The Hollywood Reporter, The Times and The Guardian all have full length obituaries up now and they were published within an hour of the news first breaking (slight delay probably due to verifying reports / minor tweaks to detail in text body). Let’s not be too harsh on the written press. They’re generally quite quick.

    The 100 Club

Prominent British-American astrophysicist Margaret Burbidge dead at 100 according to several tweets.

    Boris Johnson

There's no choice or speculation in this. The rules are simple. If he dies, then Dominic Raab takes over as he is the first Secretary of State and de facto deputy (even though the office of Deputy PM hasn't technically been in use in the UK since 2015).

Probably because people are reading straight from their respective Wikipedia pages...

The American Breed all got to 70+ (though one is now dead). Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young all made it to 70.

Bit old for an escort, was he not? Usually the Brazilian lads aged between 18 and 25 are the preferred choice amongst many male politicians.

    The Chequered Flag

My nephew has Down's. My uncle and aunt absolutely love him to bits and generally speaking there's little he can't join in on, but at the same time, people with Down's syndrome have higher instances of suffering from many physical conditions that often affect their lives greatly. It should be down to the parents whether they choose to proceed with the pregnancy or not. This is a controversial topic of course but ladyfiona isn't saying something that a lot of scientists and doctors necessarily disagree with. Professor Richard Dawkins, for example, doesn't believe people should proceed with the birth of a Down's baby. There are legitimate reasons for holding that view. Unless you believe that abortion should be illegal, period?

    Prince Philip Duke Of Edinburgh

The last time wasn't Diana's death because she also spoke to the nation in 2002 in a special address when her mother died. The third occasion was during the Gulf War, why I'm not so sure. She didn't do it for the Falklands or the War in Iraq??

    The Chequered Flag

I think these celebrity stories skew the reality quite a bit though. I'm not medical expert but aren't fertility rates in men over 60/65 normally very low in most circumstances? This is one of these things I've always wondered yet having just Googled it, I can't find a very concrete answer. Aren't most men shooting blanks by the time they're into their 40s?

    The Chequered Flag

Saw this on a Twitter earlier and seems to have sparked a debate on ageing + parenting. I think it’s totally wrong. Even if Bernie lives to be 100, the child will be minus one parent by the time he’s 10/11. I just think that when you can avoid these scenarios, it’s best to.

DUDE. You LAUGHED at it yesterday, and now you’re lecturing me. Either someone else has jumped onto your computer screen or you have split personality disorder

    Notable Coronavirus Victims

I really don’t want to drag this out Deathray but I just checked the original post, and you reacted to it with a “laughing face” yesterday. So if you’ve subsequently read about him having a condition and you’re lecturing me for being ignorant in the first place, then you’re a hypocrite for laughing at in the first place also. Anyway, what gives? Go take a walk and get some fresh air. Quarantine is clearly making you go loopy.
