Yes, so did I. And just checked and he appears to still be alive aged 101. Anyone able to make sense of this?

There are already multiple sources online confirming he is dead. This thread is for people who are dead according to their Wikipedia page, with no reliable sources available elsewhere to confirm. -
Hmmm given that that thread is so fresh (only posted Sat), could somebody jump on and comment to ask if it’s the same Reg Pugh who was a pro footballer and if anyone knows when he passed? I would do this myself but not a FB user!

Conway Berners-Lee, computer scientist and father of Tim dead at 97. Inclined to believe this one is accurate as the editor who added the death date was the same one who added Mary Berners-Lee's death when the press hadn't yet covered it. -
Put your handbag away plz.

You forgot Hemingway and McInnes again. Hughes is dead.

Leigh Rayment? Site hasn't been updated since December 2nd. Not at all like him so something has happened. Some of the pages don't even work anymore. Pity as it's the only complete record online of MP and peer records and honours etc. Seems I'm not the only one who's noticed.

Telegraph obit here. I must say, MP obituaries are often interesting but this one particularly so. For the benefit of those who can't get beyond the paywall: "Driving home to Warwickshire, he picked up a hitchhiker who after a few miles pressed a gun to his ribs. Eyre heard a click and realised the chamber was empty. He braked, the assailant was thrown forward, and Eyre wrenched the weapon off him. Then, characteristically, he drove the man home to see his family before taking him to the police station: “I felt rather sorry for him,” Eyre said. “He told me he had no work.” A merchant seaman said to suffer from “delusions of grandeur”, the attacker was jailed for five years. Eyre’s sangfroid did not reflect a lack of emotion. He was outraged at the IRA pub bombings of 1974 that killed 21 people and injured more than 180. Declaring that many Birmingham people saw them as an act of war, he dropped his opposition to hanging. Liberal on immigration, he tried to calm race relations after Enoch Powell’s “Rivers of Blood” speech, and was one of the last West Midlands MPs to decide curbs on migration to the inner cities were needed."

Strangely not picked in the DDP though!

Updated for Turner. Top 3 still holding out strong.

The old c**t looks fine. He should have shown a little gratitude and attended his bloody Nobel ceremony.

Almost 8 months later and still 8 holding up. I expect Cleary will go next. Haven't heard a word from her in ages.

Can anyone on DL still view Equity magazine? I feel that would help address verification issues on individuals like Jeanne Mockford but it looks like they've restricted online access of the magazine, even with old issues. -
I used to see the fat tub of shit touring the curry joints of the North East of Scotland. He’s a heart attack waiting to happen IMO.

Thanks. Updated. Still waiting on Dorothy Morrison and Jeanne Mockford, both of which may never come. I'm having doubts that Jeremiah Stamler is dead. Would have expected to have seen something by now. Here's a new one: Academic Frank L. Lambert died 28th December. Seen a Twitter mention but no obit still...
