Nonetheless, one of the 24 people who had been to the moon. Worth noting also that he was on the Apollo 12 mission. Paul J. Weitz, part of the Support Crew for that mission died just over 2 weeks ago. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_J._Weitz EDIT: 10/24 are now deceased according to Wiki. The surviving 14 are all in their 80s now, with a few of them set to hit 90 next year.

Saudi news agencies seem to be pulling the story. Suggests is could be false, or that he survived.

Saw Ozzy with Sharon on Gogglebox last night. He looked fine. Wasted pick to return him.

Completely overshadowed by the death of Hefner but actress Anne Jeffreys has died aged 94. Notable as both an actress of both Broadway and Hollywood's Golden Era. Wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anne_Jeffreys Still awaiting a link but ABC7 have it on their Twitter feed: https://twitter.com/abc7?lang=en

Or maybe not? The link is gone. Weird...

Liberal Party activist Nelia Penman aged 101. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/obituaries/2017/09/21/nelia-penman-eminent-liberal-obituary/ Had her on my long list of possibilities for about 5 years. Scrubbed her off last year as I conceded she was most likely dead. Bollocks.

So his family refrain from disclosing it and as a result it gets broken by the International Business Times UK? Not exactly deserving of such a legend.

I've always referred to her as Irritable Jowell Syndrome. Is this the part where I'm supposed to feel guilty and stop?

And yet, Kathy's mother and My Life on the D-List co-star, Maggie Griffin is still alive and tweeting at 97. https://twitter.com/TipItMaggieG?ref_src=twsrc^google|twcamp^serp|twgr^author One to watch, though I imagine she could be around for a few years yet. -
More useless info: His death means 30/630 of the MPs from the 1964 Parliament are still with us.

So I guess his real name was Johnny Brandon? Also, didn't know he was gay. Telegraph, Times, Guardian etc have certainly got a big miss with this one. Was he ever picked on the DDP? Not to my memory.
-
What do you know? Intelligent life at The Guardian. I'm actually quite impressed they made that connection!

Can't seem to find it now but British singer Johnny Brandon apparently passed away earlier this year in New York (his adopted home). Saw it mentioned on Facebook or Twitter somewhere. Anyway, the deets were so precise that I have no reason to doubt it, plus he was very old. He had a top 10 hit in the UK Charts. Just seems to have faded into absolute obscurity. Not sure if he was ever a DDP pick but another good example of the Obituary press not picking up on someone who is relevant and should be covered.

Email Telegraph, point them to the IMDb page and request an obit. Worked for me in the past (hey, it's not against the rules exactly...).
