He's dead.

Another bastard off the face of this earth. Maybe Mugabe will do us a favour and go next.

Not too sure about that, saw him recently on the TV and he didn't look too bad. I remember reading his comments after being asked about how he felt on the death of his "rival" William F. Buckley last year... the way in which Vidal summed it up: "RIP WFB—in hell."

Bobby Davro and Bobby Ball to name a few. Davro, Ball - great?!

Biggs. I'd be surprised if anyone voted otherwise.

I like the logic behind that...you must share the secrets of your 'what if' machine with the wider DL community... It wasn't so much "what if" argument - I was really just wanting to know how you feel you can make such a comparison when the man in question is in a completely different boat from Ramsay, Oliver, Heston, Fearnley-Whittingshall etc. I'll give you one thing Windsor.. Floyd did indeed have a very apathetic attitude on TV and yes that's what made him entertaining - particularly in clips like but my original point was I don't see how anybody can take such an attitude to their life in general... and now he's paying the price... I really don't think I've said anything bad but I seem to have stirred a lot of controversy on a website that flipping guesses when people die.

Sometimes people say the most stupid f'ucking things! Disrespect for life? Whos life? His! That man has drank too much, smoked too much, lost a fortune, made a fortune, lost it again and did some cooking. If he only lives to 66, so be it. Is it not better to live to 66 having filled that life with pleasures, whatever they may be, and enjoyed the adrenalin of life rather than live to 88 having had life bore the tits off of you? Trashed body or not, he has probably had more fun than most of us will ever have. Good luck to him, the only man that I actually enjoyed watching cook. Nobody cooks like Floyd, no f'ucker can hold a candle to him.....incase the alcohol fumes ignite. Cremation seems an unlikely choice then He's just the same as all TV chefs... don't reely see any difference TBH but if you insist then please do explain to me what it is about his cooking that makes him so unique from the rest? Keith Floyd doesn't give a sh*te. Floyd was from a completely different generation of chefs. You can't make a comparison. He hasn't had his own television program for 8 years now... he's pretty much off the box but I think if he was still regularly cooking on television he would get involved with some of that rubbish. The only one I know for sure wouldn't get involved with all that is Delia Smith cos she's said herself that she thinks the whole humanitarian chef thing is a waste of time and pathetic....

Quit promoting child molsters like Michael Jackson in one breath. And wishing the demise of a culinary genuis in another. Edit: Keith, I've always loved your TV programs, and I hope your last days are as painless as possible. Now correct me if I'm wrong... but aren't you from Missouri. How would you know of Keith Floyd?

The man deserves to go - he has the utmost disrespect for life having trashed his body for 65 years... you would think that somebody who specializes in catering would pay more attention to looking after your body. Remember him on The Mrs. Merton Show in the 90s - he sat there chain smoking and swigging back wine whilst giving a relatively crap interview....

Problem?.... If sending obscene messages to me and childishly quoting my posts and putting random smilies next to them is your idea of pissing me off then I suggest you try harder

Problem?....

Couldn't find a thread on royals so.... Gayatri Devi, an Indian royal has died aged 90. Apprantely she was listed in Vogue as one of the "10 most beautiful women in the world".... I don't think they were looking at the picture in that article when they listed her!

Don't call him by his stage name!

Claude Choules is the only surviving veteran to have seen active service. Surely that qualifies him as the only real veteran of the war. I know that there are official guidelines and whatnot, but if they didn't do anything...should they be counted? I think that Patch was the last veteran in the real sense of the word given that he actually fought in the trenches. Choules, for example, explained his war as boring. Coudn't agree more. It's good that the BBC and Sky are reporting him as the last veteran. Although Choules did put his life at risk, but not to the extent that Patch did. John Babcock will be the last out of the three though. His health is amazing for his age whereas Buckles and Choules look like garden vegetables ready to boil in the soup.....

I read somewhere that Choules wasn't living in Australia as a naturalised citizen and that he still held British citizenship. Can't seem to verify this anywhere though. The Times regard him as a Brit anyway... Anyway, he's not looking too good. Doubt he'll live to see 2010....

You know what pal? You're really starting to fekin piss me off as well. Don't come onto a forum (run by Brits) and ask such an insulting question. And don't you think it's a tiny bit rude to judge a country by what religion dominates there? You can take your bible bashing and shove it up your arse for all I care. How dare you storm on here and take such an attitude with people who actually bother contributing to this site. Take a hint and get off of here.

Bit unfair calling him a star. He was a guy they took on, and made one jobbing appearance on a show. It'd be like calling that prelimanary MMA guy who died last year, who appeared in one show, a top UFC star. Yeah OK but he still starred in WWE regardless. Not really a big deal. It's all staged sh*te anyway

Better luck next time Garn2

BREAKING: Harry Patch has died aged 111. Just 3 WWI veterans left now.

All these celebrities dying at young(ish) ages (40s/50s) recently is making me ever paranoid about my own fate.... am I just getting paranoid.....

Mark Leduc, Olympic silver medallist and one of the world's first openly gay boxers has died from suspected heatstroke at the age of 47.

But played no part in the creation of Roger the Cabin Boy, Seaman Staines and Master Bates?
