Times obit for Major General Pat MacLellan MBE, aged 98, officer in command on Bloody Sunday. How he doesn't have a Wikipedia page is beyond me. Wasn't on my radar as a result.

For completeness I'm going to note that the IMDb page for Miss Jason has 2 different people confused. The drag queen Miss Jason (aka Jason Sutton) did appear in Maisie. The other Miss Jason is this British YouTube star, who appears in the Celeste music video. I watched that music video twice earlier and thought I was going mad when I couldn't find him and that's why. Mel C makes an appearance in that music vid strangely enough. So I'm guessing the YouTube star just pops up in random stuff but isn't a "performer" as such given the sensible Equity rule of not allowing the same name to be used by two individuals.

Thanks for both of these YW! I think he's the John Gordon who was born in 1936 and died in 2001 in Portsmouth in the GRO Index but there are a few other possibilities and I can't be sure so I've just marked him as deceased and put "c. 2001". Not finding much else on Google or Ancestry.

He's on that Jack Osbourne ghost hunting show, along with Sharon and Kelly. Not sure when it was filmed but they're advertising it as new. From the ads I've seen Ozzy looks good.

Had to dig through Facebook and look through hundreds of tributes to work this out but this is him: Births Mar 1968 (>99%) SUTTON JASON FREDERICK GREENFIELD PORTSMOUTH 6B 831

Providing he can convince me that the claims against him are false, he can come hideout at mine. -
Geeesh, tough paper round!

@YoungWillz, just found this from 2020. Was diagnosed with a tumour in his ear that affected his hearing and balance.
-
He seemed absolutely fine on stage a few weeks ago. I wasn't aware he was ill. Nonetheless, he was in his 60s and drank most nights like there's no tomorrow. All catches up with you I guess.

Fucking bonkers. Saw him perform just last month.

People Who Are Dead According To Wikipedia...

Mystery solved. Christian Coffinet in fact died in 2011 aged 87, as confirmed by BnF here. -
Doesn't look like he's away to imminently die either though.

Baroness Doreen Massey (wiki), Labour Member of the House of Lords (since 1999), dead at 85. Not a good time to be a member of the Lords, particularly a Labour one (8 of their peers dead in 6 months). Luckily for Starmer, he's about to win an election so he'll be able to stuff the House full of more bootlickers seeing as Tony's cronies are really starting to drop like flies.

A point of interest... Trixie Gardner was the most senior life peer in the House of Lords, having been elevated on 19 June 1981. That distinction now belongs to Caroline Cox (wiki), elevated on 2 March 1983. She'll be 87 in July and sits as a Crossbencher. She founded Christian Solidarity Worldwide, was the chancellor of two universities, and was a big backer of Section 28 back in the day. Also a supporter of Bashar al-Assad. In fact her wiki page is worth a read. It's all rather puzzling. Last spoke in the chamber on 25 March 2024 on the subject of the persecution of Christians. I don't think she'll be troubling the obit writers for a while.

We’ve lost Baroness Gardner but we still have Baroness Garden: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Susan_Garden,_Baroness_Garden_of_Frognal On a serious note, Trixie was fantastic. Loved on all sides of the House and still working right to the end. She was a formidable battle axe but very lovely all the same, a bit like Baroness Trumpington and Baroness Sharples.

She’s got terminal cancer. Hope this helps.

You've just given me an excuse to post this:

You're becoming as bad as mango shagger with these pointless thread bumps.

Are you kidding? He's barely on his feet, and all that bloating in the face is a reaction to intense chemo.
-
Roedad Khan (wiki) dead at 100 according to his family on Facebook.
-
Why would he? The guy was clearly not a fan of Trump (or the other guy for that matter).
-
Alright, someone own up. Whose autism levels have shattered the glass ceiling?

William F. Pepper (wiki), NYC lawyer and conspiracy theorist, dead from pneumonia at 86. Tried to prove the innocence of James Earl Ray in the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. and the innocence of Sirhan Sirhan in the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy. Part of the 9/11 Truth movement and advocated for the prosecution of George W. Bush for war crimes.
