I only just found out today that she's "still alive"... though do we have anything from the last 2-3 years that confirms she's still alive? What a crazy case this was. Pregnant at 5 years old. Boke.

You believed wrong. He died in 1988. -
New Jersey media outlet Thirteen PBS seem to have jumped the gun earlier today and accidentally announced DJ Casper had died. As many of you know, he's long been a popular pick on DL across various pools after being diagnosed with both kidney and neuroendocrine cancers in 2016. In 2018, he announced that he had been spared by the mercy of God and that he was a changed man etc. etc. but apparently not... A quick look on Facebook reveals several posts from family and friends, requesting prayers, claiming he's "gravely ill" and in his last days. Here, here, and here. If true, a sad DDP miss as he isn't picked. I believe I'm right in saying last picked in 2020? No doubt someone will moan but I think he's big enough to merit his own thread. Plus 1) he doesn't really fit nicely into any others and 2) I never create any bloody threads round here so lay off the hate

Yes, but drol enjoys the attention too much.

She isn’t, because it doesn’t exist (only for maternity/paternity leave).

Surely nobody is worse than the Nolan slappers?

Telegraph obit for Michael de Burgh, aged 100, "the last surviving member of any antecedent regiment of the Royal Lancers who saw active service in the Second World War" (whatever that means).

Times death notice (see spoiler below) for Sir Timothy Daunt, aged 87, Lieutenant Governor of the Isle of Man from 1995 to 2000. Just one surviving IoM LG from the 20th century now: Sir Laurence New (wiki) who is 91.

I'm not sure any of them will die off radar. Worth remembering that Apted was only the assistant on the first one. He took over from Canadian Paul Almond (also now dead). Someone at ITV could easily pick it up. They'd kick themselves afterwards if they didn't.
-
The last one was in 2019. They’re all available on Prime. You can’t not make 70 Up. Someone will pick it up.

CBS News confirmation. Ah well.

Ah cock. I was just about to suggest a sweepstake.

Seems to have been misinformation flying around Facebook the other day that John Sheahan (wiki) had died. Careless whispers or another one away to kick the bucket? Difficult to judge, but the last performance of his I can find was over 12 months ago now. Yes, he's 84 but Sheahan was incredibly active and never seemed to stop making appearances/performing. Worth keeping an eye on... The last of The Dubliners from any of their iconic 1960s lineups. Expect QOs aplenty.

Double Oscar death day. Arthur Schmidt (wiki) dead at 86. Won the Oscar for Best Editing in 1988 for "Who Framed Roger Rabbit". Other notable credits – all 3 Back to the Future films, Jaws 2, Marathon Man, Beaches, and Cast Away. Hollywood Reporter obit.

He isn't listed on IMDb either strangely, but I see he was nominated for an Oscar for it. Odd. Added.

The director, the cinematographer and two of the cast members have died this year. Burstyn (91), Winn (80), Blair (64) and Mitchell (probably in her 80s) are the last four credited cast members still living. One of the editors, Bud S. Smith is still with us, despite surviving cancer. Another, Norman Gay, may still be alive but I can't find any info on him. Burstyn seems to be in great health, and is reprising her role of Chris MacNeil in the director sequel to The Exorcist, due for release in October!

Is it still PC to blast "Last Train Home" or "Last Summer"? I never know where the line is with these things. Gary Glitter's "Rock and Roll Part 2" still gets blasted at a lot of U.S. sporting events. Michael Jackson, R Kelly songs still seem to be okay. Can one of the more woke amongst you tell me? @TQR?
-
He's due to be released in 9.5 years from now, but that's nearly a decade for fellow inmates to try and get him again.
-
Well I'll take it like a man and offer @Gisooo an apology and admit that I was wrong.

Because it's obvious a lot of it is not written by humans. Case in point – a record you posted yourself on here recently: Pretty obvious Major General Henry Simon's middle name was not "General". I have no doubt this corresponds to his death record. But the data on that page was scraped. It wasn't written by a person.
-
Worth noting that Accurint is technically just another data scraping website. A lot of the info is computer generated and I don't think it's 100% reliable. Vi Goldberg has a middle name, "Louise", and she's "too big" to die off radar for over a year. Pretty certain this is not her.
