    Work Or Home?

Do you mention you know what on your CV? Good God no! Even though it has given me skills (html, databases etc) it would be a little awkward if I mentioned I run my own website and we get into the details...

    Work Or Home?

I'm on the rock 'n roll so the pay is crap but the hours are great! Thing is, I'll be working harder than I've ever done in the next six weeks or so on you know what!

Well, what other well-known children's tv stars of the 70s are there who are in their 80s and still around?

    Margaret Thatcher

Actually you can blame the bleak days of the 70s for her 2nd term. No fucker wanted to go back to Power cuts, the three day week or mountains of fucking rubbish piled up to the skies because of yet another strike. At that time it was a choice of a Labour Government run by the Unions or Thatcher. It was a no brainer. Yep it certainly was that. And the brain never really did come back...

Ahhh...proper Man United managers! Fk off. He was the man who brought trophies to Stamford Bridge before that tosspot Roman Abramovich was even a twinkle in his fathers eye. He was also the last man to bring any honours England's way. He was a proper manager when we had proper football clubs. Those were the days. But would Chelsea fans now swap such serial success and that money being spent on players for the odd bit of glory?

BBC4's 1977 TOTP reruns aren't working out too well - more drops than a Parkinson's Cricket XI . Brookes and Kershaw were 80s, thankfully Just as they were about to show the Bowie one... All over? For fucks sakes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Help me out here. They are showing programmes already made so the costs involved in producing each show has been paid for long long ago. Is it really beyond the Beebs capability to just edit out ALL the DJ presenters and just show the effing charts and episodes without a DJ to link them? TOTP2 is still doing the rounds and was just loads of acts linked in with Steve lardy arse Wright doing the voice over. As for ratings dropping like a stone, well its never worried those bastards when its been applied to digital radio, Stephen K Amos and bastard Countryfile has it!!! That fucking BBC needs a good shoeing. The BBC just had a good shoeing, where have you been? Was that wise? She's just got married. How long before you know what happens and it won't be on for months anyway... As for Mark Thompson and his cuts. It's funny how he fucked off before the Savile trouble, leaving Entwhistle to take the flack. Leads me to the conclusion that he was the most cuntish DG since Birt. Already had a good shoeing have they? Im not too sure about that TMIB.The way i see it, they are currently rearranging the furniture and paying compo with OUR money, the DG gets fired with a humungeous payout with OUR money, journos are "disciplined" and quietly moved elsewhere, most not fired and still on the payroll taking OUR money........................... Fuck, if they have really had a good shoeing, Id like some of that. Just my opinion, like. At the end of the day, everyone seems to take our money, from the BBC to your bank who have the potential to wipe out your savings with a click of a mouse... Quite agree fella, although I personally have fuck all in savings for them to take from me. Mind you i have fuck all of a pension either which will mean I will need to start learning how to cope wiv hypo whatsits and getting as much out of a baked bean as i humanly can. Hey, might win the lottery. You and me both...

Never mind the Slade albums, did you used to have THAT haircut? Did you wear those back crippling boots? Come on Mary, do tell! PS: My Mum and Dad took me to see their Film "Flame" when it came out back in, er, a long time ago. Cool. I never did see that film. I see from wiki that its been released on DVD but has it ever been on TV? It's going to be part of a BBC4 Slade (mini)Night on Dec 21st. One of the few 60s bands with all the original members living, although not all still in Slade of course. Mark Kermode was raving about it a few weeks ago. I saw it a while back. Decent film...

Curses I think any of us who thought that was going to be a unique pick in the 2013 DDP were being a little optimistic. You can't put her on your DDP. If the people of Liverpool found out, you'd never hear the end of it. They do enjoy being victims... That's from a Scotsman...

Oh i don't know, there are some pretty pissed off David Mitchell fan girls out there.. They kept that quiet! Biding their time perhaps... And they make a lovely couple. While I knew of the impending nuptials, I hadn't realised they took place on Saturday. I'm sure their relationship has been mentioned here before (something along the lines of Mitchell punching above his weight). Anyone who has Giles Coren as a brother-in-law has my deepest sympathy...

    Lord Mcalpine

This might offer a clue as to why... Seems that McAlpine and Patten have been feuding for some 40 years. Might explain why the BBC chairman turned a blind eye to these allegations being made.
