Hi RM, good to hear you are interested. The inaugral season is about to kick-off (already committed so can't back track) so if you would care to hang on for about 5 weeks, you can come in on season 2 - I will drop you an invite nearer the time. Cheers DWB ps - It would seem that during the night some git (Knickers to you) broke in and punctured all our match footballs - my players have lost form and it cost the club 100k to replace them. This has been noted! You found out then.... Now, let's see how the cheating Knickers got on today. The teleprinter has just sprung into life: . . . . . . . . . . . . Crypt Kickers 5 (Five). . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Knickers United 1 . . . . . . . . . Well, there you have it, the cheating git that is TMIB dies by his own treachery. My blokes were so angry at your antics they went out and deflated your balls . . . perhaps the money you spent on that little trick would have been better spent in the transfer market? DWB Its the straight path for me from now on, honest guv!

So YOU'RE the type that would resort to dirty tricks, rather than win it on skill! Tsk Tsk. Odstock United's staff & fans are disgusted. We'd never stoop that low... The die is cast. If it's in the rules, it's in the rules...

  5. 1975: Moe Howard Correct. Surely there was more significant death that year...
  6. Can anyone spot the odd one out? 1969: Dwight D. Eisenhower 1970: Charles de Gaulle 1971: Nikita Khrushchev 1972: Harry S. Truman 1973: Lyndon Baines Johnson 1974: Georges Pompidou 1975: Moe Howard 1976: Mao Tse Tung
  7. Bhutto gets up to win in the final strides of a less than vintage race. Very true...

    Benazir Bhutto

A little bit, but it could've been much worse. Most people have gone for Musharraf than Bhutto or Sharif. I've been very lucky so far as no-one picked Ike Turner, Russell Coffey, Oscar Peterson et al - and only one person each time picked anybody who has died since the 4th. Rather than blame the suicide bombers, CR, blame Bhutto for not having the rally on the 1st January. Can't say I'm either surprised or particularly sorry. Never liked her, though, whilst an early death was probably unexpected, I had hoped it would be a more natural demise for herself. She was one of the few heads of state you'd do wouldn't yer...in her prime like... Are you feeling alright? DWB ...er...yeah! That was about 20 years ago, TMIB - the years weren't exactly kind to her. The Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, gets my vote. Well as I said in her prime...well better than Musharraf anyhow! As for Tymoshenko...hmmm...a bit hard-faced..

Not any more she doesn't - she's dead. I'd imagine that's her off a number of potential teams - that's if they had the time to add her on in the first place. Well that's answered that conundrum I guess. Had written down my provisional DDP and then we got this....

Maybe you're right to blame the press for everything, Mr Scream, but you surely can't knock a young Dexter Fletcher or Julia Sawalha for their idealistic, pubescent journalistic fervor, can you? Ok, maybe you can... but I wouldn't. Especially given the magnitude of teenage boner I had for La Sawalha back in the day. Phwoarr! I think we have a late claim for post of the year!

I don't mind, as long as it involves relatively minimal maintenance on my part to manage this team, as time is not one thing I have an awful lot of in 2008. If I do play, it will, of course, be in the same tactical mould as my two managerial heroes - Stevie Coppell & Admiral Ackbar. Therefore, Expect a downbeat "It's a Trap!" to be my main cry from the dugout. Minimal maintenance it is - it can take as little as ten minutes a week to sort a team and tactics out - so I can count you in then? That will make four - half way there already! DWB Yeah count me in DWB....

Concentrate on your strengths and do the best list you can, or you could have fun and choose anyone you like. You never know, they might all croak it!
