So they're sitting around with not much happening making enigmatic utterances to each other. Kinda fitting, dontcha think? I'm preparing the tagline for my signature in anticipation....

    Deathlist On The Net

The people on that site seem to spend quite a lot of time feeling sick. It can't be a very healthy place. So who's going to join up and ask the one who knows Jeremy Beadle's daughter to enquire about his health? Seems reasonable. Yes, I was thinking that. That poster has unwittingly brought forth a bonus tip....

I'd rather be here than on that shitty forum!

Blimey, they've kept that quiet haven't they? I could do with the points.....

    Charles Kennedy

Hmmmm...they lack a charismatic figure like Paddy Pantsdown. I mean Nick Clegg..who? I've seen him and he seems like a Cameron clone, which is pretty grim... Good news for Gordon though. A new leader will have a bounce at the expense of the Tories.

    British Science Fiction Series

Most programmes in the 1970s had wobbly sets, from 'The Six Wives of Henry VIII' to 'Fawlty Towers'....it was the way TV programmes were made then. My memories of the show were rather hazy. I can remember when when they were still on The Liberator, but I was a bit confused why it was called Blake's 7, when Blake was nowhere to be seen and Avon was the hero. But then 4-year-olds weren't aware of things like 'back story'.....

He needs that obit though. If he gets it, you have to say he's favourite to retain his title, but you're pushing him all the way!

    The Dead - 2007

Congratulations footballfan! That will no doubt take you back to the top of the DDP rankings. Hope you get the points. How does he do it? Has to get a 'proper' obit though.....

    Rugby Players

I'll disagree with you on both counts here MIB; a- Like the cricket world cup, the pool play stages should have been over with sooner. A month of largely meaningless matches, with the exception of the predictably named 'Pool of death' (incidentally a name which always made me wonder if they'd pick Clive Dunn or not). The odd enjoyable spectacle, who'd have thought Georgia would play such an attractive style of game. b- The FIFA World Cup has greater balance as a tournament. Any one of at least a dozen teams could win. The Rugby World Cup has only five genuine contenders plus Argentina. Well I'll agree that the pool stages were a bit too long. he best games were the more evenly matched ones. However your other point..... Winners of Ruby World Cup since 1987: 1987 - New Zealand 1991 - Australia 1995 - South Africa 1999 - Australia 2003 - England Winners of FIFA World Cup since 1986: 1986 - Argentina 1990 - W Germany 1994 - Brazil 1998 - France 2002 - Brazil 2006 - Italy And you can't see beyond those teams above winning either trophy. Football might have greater reach, but the superpowers remain...

    Deathlist 2011

Well, that's why it's always nice to respond. Funicello has had MS for years. Ah yes, the Earl Hickey maxim.... Well, Beefheart's had MS for yonks, is he still worth sticking with? Can't really tell as there is no news about him... I may have a revamp for 2008. I think I might abandon Pinter, Hagman and Muhammad Ali, Marquez (even Sharon) for the forseeable. But, you never know...

    Annette Funicello

Pollack's in, provided he makes it to 2008. Funicello.... I doubt it, unless I come across anything that says she's getting any worse. Looking at my current potential 2008 team, there's a lot of sports-stars on there, nearly 8 of them - more accident, than design. I can confirm that I'm not adding Biggs, Foot, Jack Jones, Fordham, Bevilacqua or Margaret Thatcher as things stand now as I feel they are all healthy enough to make 2010. I think you've got an admirer, Octopus. This 'guest' is always after your attention.... What's up with Funicello anyway, Wikipedia doesn't mention anything...

Formula 1 & Other Motor Racing

Rather suspiciously convenient if you ask me. Hamilton hasn't hasn't put a foot wrong all season and then has an 'error' and we have a final race finale on at peak time. Hmmm This has been one of the dodgiest Formula 1 seasons I can remember....

    Rugby Players

Only if you're a Brazilian goalkeeper? And the rest. Obviously I'm for England but France are hard to beat on their own turf. As a neutral I'd have to be backing France, but I know we can take 'em and this England side is improving. Catt was unlucky to miss a try. This is France's World Cup. England have done well to reach the semi-final. But you never know....

    Rugby Players

Amazing, truely amazing.... It looked as the 6 nations were having the worst World Cup ever, and we've got one guaranteed for the final! And the Aussies and All-Blacks vanquished. It shows when it comes to the crunch, how powerful the Northern Hemisphere is now. Is it me, or is this: a- The best Rugby World Cup ever? b- Better than the FIFA World Cup? I don't consider myself a Rugby fan, but some of these matches have been fascinating. Once you get into it and have a grasp of the rules, it can be a more satisfying sport, at least internationally, than football...

    The Dead - 2007

Which was? Remind us please.... About three days before he stepped down as Lib Dem Leader, I predicted that he would lead the party probably into the next election... Ahhhh.....he still might!

    The Dead - 2007

Hardly. Given the sh*t he has had to deal with in his first 100 days, I would say that the polls are treating him not too badly. Dave C is the one who needs to look worried. He is a weak leader and too insecure in personality. As for Mr. Osbourne, I had to laugh when he accused Alistair Darling of being lacking in charisma. I found his speech to be rather condescending especially regarding the tone of his voice. In short, Brown's political career is not yet dead largely due to the fact that there is no effective opposition. (At this point it is only fair that DL members remember my prediction about Charles Kennedy). Which was? Remind us please....

    Rugby Players

If England can beat Australia..... I had a sneaky feeling England would defend their title better than most people thought. I think South Africa will win the tournament....
