F**k, it's getting like what happened to their mates in the Somme or whatever! Seems like 2007 is the tipping point, I think by the end of the year there'll be just a handful left....

As long as he stops trying to sing, that's fine. Piero Scaruffi, is that you?

African Leaders - Despots and Democratic
themaninblack replied to Cowboy Ronnie's topic in DeathList Forum
Yes, loads, as ManInBlack will testify - they, along with racing drivers, are my speciality DL subject. My 2008 DDP team will probably be made up of 20 of them.. (or 10 African Despots & 10 racing drivers...) To name but a few... Kenneth Kaunda, Frederick Chiluba, Haile Mariam Mengistu, Sam Nujoma, Nelson Mandela, Hosni Mubarak, Daniel Arap Moi, Paul Biya, Lansana Conte, Teodoro Obiang Nguema are all worthy candidates and many of them have been mentioned on DL already, Yes, I can testify to that... -
Was he ever truely alive in the first place...?

E. Howard Hunt, one of the conspirators in the Watergate scandal, has died...

Tempus, do you actually know for certain that you were disqualified. I mean, did they send you an email or something? I am no longer receiving DDP email updates, I asked a few questions regarding AP news feed obits and got no reply, I asked if I was disqualified, got no reply. This kind of rudeness is intolerable to me, of course they have the right to disqualify me if they so wish, but they could at least have the good manners to reply to civil emails. But it's almost the end of January and they've still to post just under half the teams. Maybe they're not replying to any emails because they've got too much to do. Has anyone else been receiving (private) emails from them? ...er I have!

That reminds me, did anyone see that bit in 'Trial and Retribution' last night when that bloke was run over twice by a car. It was the most 'orrible thing I'd seen on telly for ages!

Very early in the year. It's whether he can hold out till 2008. Definitely one to keep under the Stetson methinks....

No matter. 3 more points, above Everton & Tottenham of all people & the added bonus of seeing Colin sent off for fighting with Wally Downes. Happy days. Nice to know that in the modern world of football, there's still room for a Wally!

Irony upon Irony. The match was to be a re-match of the the 1974 final. Feyenoord won then, but the occasion was marred by violent Spurs supporters, which subsequently had the team banned from European competition! What goes round comes round.....

How come Parsons gets one and Hamilton doesn't?

It's also possible that they haven't processed your team yet. My team isn't on the board yet either. DDP's front page says: regards, Hein It's on the scoreboard..... Which of the deadpools starts in April?

Ali turns 65 tomorrow. It's strange how the press have picked up on this (is there a retirement age of 65 in America?). It's as if they know he will not reach 70.....

Hmm, I 've lived through quite a bit of the Ceaucescu regime, it was a bit of a white spot on the map of Eastern Europe[1]. Rarely in the news and best known as a producer of discus throwers and weight lifters full of steroids. I've never heard of this fellow.East Germany were more into that sort of thing, rather than Romania. Bulgaria had a similar image. Don't ask me names, but I seem to remember lots of athletes from that bit of the world in muscular sport disciplines like the shut put and wrestling, who did remarkably well at the Olympics. My memory is so vague, that I don't quite remember from which country they exaclty were. The GDR did make the news every now and again, and applied the Socialist Method on all sportsmen and -women. Part of that was training, but chemistry was another. Hardly. I saw some recent footage of her something like a year ago. She looked in perfect shape. regards, Hein I was being ironic - the tongue out was for rather more base reasons Worst of all was Jarmila Kratchilova (World 800m Champion 1983) - she had hair on her armpits thicker than on my barnet, Imagine what it was like further down....no don't!
