Hmm, I 've lived through quite a bit of the Ceaucescu regime, it was a bit of a white spot on the map of Eastern Europe[1]. Rarely in the news and best known as a producer of discus throwers and weight lifters full of steroids. I've never heard of this fellow. [1]Labelled: Here be dragons regards, Hein East Germany were more into that sort of thing, rather than Romania. The best known sportsperson was Nadia Comaneci and she certainly wasn't on steroids...

Firstly, I e-mailed DDP, as I clearly stated, not the Guardian. Secondly, Bezzerides isn't on my team anyway, so e-mailing the Guardian wouldn't made a difference? So, less of the "cheating", MIB. Yes, I know now, sorry Octopus....wrong end of stick!

I didn't have them on my list - didn't even consider them.... Ah well, I got the big man last year

Actually, I've just had a word with someone I used to work with at my old place and told them that if they get Clive Everton on the phone while the Masters are on to mention what a terrible shame it is a certain Mr Smyth hasn't had a proper obit yet. So you never know... He'll get one, they did one for Patsy Houlihan last week and he died in November! Ding's 147 yesterday might also prompt memories. as it was Mr Smyth who officiated (and not in 1983 as the DDP write up has said) on the first by Kirk Stevens in 1984...

You may accept it I won't. If AP feeds count then I'll consider the DDP a lost cause. What's got into you Tempus? I thought that was the way it was counted. It was in the Film section, under 'news'. The rules say that it doesn't have to be a proper write up obit, just a notice of death. Besides, most news is made up of cobbled together agency crap anyway... Unless of course there is a definite rule, that a hit has to counted when there is a proper obit write up in the main (usually) broadsheet papers....

Here, here. I bet the BBC was pleased, particularly because of all the hullabaloo over the Taylor/Barney final on BSkyB. Darts is in a fairly healthy condition at the moment, despite the two codes. Which is more than I can say for the Snooker....

You cheat! I wouldn't dream of badgering the grauniad over Mr Smyth. Mind you if needs must....

Another strong start for Go Fish in 2007...

27th May 2007 I bid February 2nd, no reason I just like the date. I think he might do a Ford and wait until the years final hours....December 29th

That explains why I have trouble sleeping at night...

the 13th of course is the day to keep an eye on, as it means extra points....

Initially, cancer. Now has a form of dementia, I'm led to believe. No idea if the cancer has been beaten, but I know he was having treatment for it a few years back. What I do know for sure is the fact that he is on a permament leave of absence from the House of Lords due to ill health, one of only a compartively small amount who are. You might be quids in this year Octo....

Yeah, hopefully long enough so I can get the obits I need so I would sit at the top of the first fully published table!
-
We've forgot to add the Not So Famous thread.......

I don't understand the two DDP teams you have Vin, is one a collaboration?
-
Not for me he aint - hit number two!
-
Jesus de Polanco has been listed twice, under D and P....
-
He'll get one...

Hmm, first hit in my Shadow Deathlist! Thanks TalkSPORT!
-
I guess your Scottish tip just fell on its arse. They certainly did, not half as much as Liverpool did tonight though...
-
That would've also stopped all this dead picks fiasco. Anyway, to be honest, we're getting far ahead of ourselves and I'm sure the DDP boys are dealing with it anyway. But you can't help noticing these things. The Derby Deadpool has become a victim of it's own success... 2004 Entrants - 43 2007 Entrants - 446!
-
But surely they have suitable substitute candidates, unless they all picked Charlie Drake or something... Maybe this will all the sorted by the DDP boys in time...
-
Someone chose James Brown and didn't know he died?!? Unless of course, they sent in a team early (pre-Christmas), buggered off on holiday or something and probably forgot..

Yeah, I mean there was one for the drummer from Mud FFS! We live in hope...
