    Not Exactly Famous...

well done Phantom, beat me to it. Peter Boyle is the type of person who needs a different thread title, as I'd argue he's pretty famous (Everyone Loves Raymond is syndicated in the US, UK and I'd guess probably another 20 countries at least), but he wouldn't be a "Near Miss" either, because, even though he looks to have been about 95, he was only 71. Must have been that hard-living Hollywood lifestyle. Big mate of John Lennon apparently. I loved him as the monster in 'Young Frankenstein' though...

    Derby Dead Pool 2006

Astor, Papon & Shamir would be my best bets, Papon perhaps the most. I would've said del Toro but I can't see him going right after Hardy & Bolden. Ford, Allingham, Rolt and Shriver maybe outside chance. Michael Foot, Mohammed Zahir Shah & Phil Taylor - no chance. All will be alive come Jan 1st. (intake of breath in the style of car mechanics) you've got a lot of old crocks left in your list. Considering the DDP rule changes, not many of them will be on the 07 list, so if they're got to go, they've got to go soon...

    Margaret Thatcher

I presume Thatch will go to one of her best friend's funeral. Let's face it - Heathrow to Santiago is a long way. A very long way for an 81 year old in poor health. Plus the deaths of her mates Casper and Milton must have dealt a blow to her morale even before this. Not long for her, I feel. This will really quicken her demise you think? I sure hope so. She's been wasting oxygen for long enough. If at least one good thing comes out of all of this, this will be it! Derek & Clive would say you were a provocative f****r! You want Thatcher to go and yet you're blowing the patriotic trumpet re Falklands and unless I'm very much mistaken, Thatch was the PM at the time. Sounds like you're picking an argument for arguments sake... She's a dumb bitch and I F*****g hate her! While she did the right thing in the Falklands to save face, you could argue that she should have properly defended the islands in the first place! It was a spectacular British victory though. But the Falkland Islands has really nothing to do with why I hate her. Why I hate this cow is because she thought the Falkland Islands were worth fighting for but then she went and handed Hong Kong over to the Chinese voluntarily. WTF?! Red China couldn't believe their luck! And nor could anyone else for that matter. Hong Kong was the last great British colony and this stinking bitch hands it over to the Chinese. She is a traitor and a coward. That's why I hate her. She is commie loving SCUM and she should have been hanged for treason. I F*****g HATE HER SO MUCH! Now, I don't live in the UK. But I checked my sources and Margaret Thatcher left office in 1990. Hong Kong was handed over on July 1, 1997. That was after she left office. The prime minister at that time was Blair. How did Margaret Thatcher hand over Hong Kong when she wasn't PM? The negotiations over the handing over of the territory were carried out in 1984...

This year has been so brilliant for Reading. A Championship, won in thumping style, record points, 7th in the Premier League - yes, 7th - 7 defeats in total this calendar year, Swindon relegated, Oxford now a non-league club and now to round off our year, ParJUDAS sacked. Happy Happy day, happy happy happy days, Happy Happy Day, happy happy days!!!! Oh, MIB. Yes, Curbs in. I take it you are a Reading fan Octopus....

    Lyndsey Hunter

A bit brassy for my tastes, but I see what you mean... Bleached hair, fake boobs, orange skin. The perfect sportsman's wife. I'd have suggested Darren Clarke for her new paramour, but looks like he's already well over his wife dying. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/arti...in_page_id=1770 Wonder if this has anything to do with him not winning BBC Sports Personality of the year, as the overlap between Mail readers and SPOTY voters must be almost 100% Judging by the winner, yes... And Mark Ramprakash has had his face shoved in the soft and smelly as well - someone doesn't want him to win... ...and I bet 'Eddie Munster' will win X-Factor... ...No Irish, no Coloureds, no Dogs.....

    General Pinochet

Oh about a tenth of what Castro's managed, or at least that Castro's murdered that we know about. I don't know why people get so worked up about Pinochet - it was only Communists he killed after all. Yeah and it's only towelheads the Americans blitzed over the last twenty years anyhow... I've never heard any figures regarding Castro, although I accept he's probably removed an 'opponent' or two in his time... Removing opponents is what Communists do. When it comes to mass murder you really can't beat a well-trained Communist. And what's more they don't hand over power to democrats once they've finished, unlike Pinochet. Castro was never a Communist, not in the Soviet sense anyway. He merely allied with them for political convenience (US Generals breathing down his neck you see.) He's a Marxist, populist socialist..so there! Like they used to say Mao was? Don't think Castro needed any help from US Generals - he's a natural-born psycho bastard. Well Communist/Socialist, whatever, he'll be dead soon anyway. This is Pinochet's thread anyway. As for his support in the Falklands, what support? The Americans put him in and they put the military junta in Argentina and got cold feet over interfering. Pinochet probably took advantage for nationalist reasons, getting one over big brothers Argentina..
