I think the applause thing at football matches are getting in vogue because if you have a minutes silence, it tends to get spolit by the odd idiot. I think in a sporting context, it could be quite moving for a recently deceased sporting hero getting one final rousing reception...

During the Snooker Premier League this week, there was a minutes silence, which is a bit of a no brainer as there are longer 'silences' between Peter Ebdon's shot making!

One thing I've noticed from the previous deathlists is that there does seem to be some sort of pattern in positive hits. There seems to be relatively few hits towards the end of the year and it seems that between March and September are particularly fruitful months...

No, I completely disagree. I've taken him off all of my lists for 2007. Guess we'll have to see who's right, eh? So be it Octopus of Odstock.... I'm planning two lists - one which is sheer grubby points grabbing for DDP and other, more considered star-wise for the alternative deathlist with a few of the more famous DDPs in the DL.... A battle of the titans.....

I'm trying to remember my reasoning in leaving him out, it might be because of my old man's fight with Brain Cancer, so I may have thought that he's make it to 07. ....but I'll definitely have him in if he does!
