We know someone who's just here for the entertainment. We know someone who's just here to try and irritate the shit out of us all. There's a whiff of Dave/Iain about...

Billy Graham. Surely he can't hang on forever?

Blimey and of all times to do when athletes are competing in the stadium named after him! Maybe Da Silva's pole vault win finished him off!

Remind me who they all are. Paul Ince in the middle, and I recognise several others but their names are escaping me right now. L-R (top) Nick Barmby, Jamie Redknapp, Dalian Atkinson L-R (bottom) Ray Parlour (aka The Romford Pele), Chris Waddle, Paul Ince, Gary Speed

I didn't know Michael Peacock was still alive!

It's all good, you made up for it by having an Ethiopian who trains in the USA win a gold 'for England' in the 10000M. Whatever allows you to thump your chests I guess. SC I suppose you'll be cheering on Kenyan born/raised US 5000 metres champion Bernard Lagat then?

Football Fan? Yes, who played in DDP as Meet Your Maker. I didn't know that. Look how diverse we are! -
We're in a drought. It's official. I'm not surprised after the early pace. August does seem to be the "quiet" month, doesn't it?

Gold: Great Britain Silver: Great Britain Bronze: United States of America Gold: Italy, you mean. Now that's an interesting thing to consider. Under international DDP rules would the last few competitions under my tenure was won by the following countries? 2010: GBR 2011: GBR 2012: GBR 2013: ITA 2014: ITA 2015: ITA And going back further, there were more from across the Atlantic. I can't remember whether Meet Your Maker was USA or Canada. Fallen Sparrow I think was USA and so was Otis, Do You Want A Treat? and the posthumous win for M T Graves. And in these Independence times, would Drunkasaskunk hear "God Save the Queen" or "Flower of Scotland?" And indeed is the host Eire?

I'd bear in mind Mr Young's last foray into the future.... -
The committee are of the generation that remember Brian Rix very well. He'll make it.

A nice touch that the chap who lit the flame is someone who should have won gold in 2004 in the marathon but for that eejit in the kilt...

I'm starting to think that 2016 maybe an outlier than indicative of what may happen in the future which is one of the reasons I'm holding off any radical points changes. TTL 2017 may well act as a guinea pig for any future changes in that regard. Still in the early stages of development though...
