If he does it seems that he deliberately looks for league championships to win, when they're available...

Used to frighten the shit out of me when he fell forward at the end sequence. Still love him though... -
I think it's inevitable. The conference has many teams that are no different in size, support and finance to League 2. 46 matches it a hell of a lot of games to fit in, when you add the myriad cups and so on. Maybe 20, 20, 22, 22, 22 (106) might make a better structure IMO... What annoys me is that among the top European leagues, Germany's Bundesliga has 18 teams and is awarded FOUR Champions League places! No wonder they can afford to take the winter off. Up to 20 teams, you lot!

Ah...Libous. I forgot about him...

"Suspect package" found at Old Trafford. Van Gaal's new contract?

Sean Connery was technically the fourth person to appear as Bond - he wasn't even the first on the cinema screen! It went 1) Barry Nelson in a TV version of Casino Royale, as Scraggy says (as a US agent called Jimmy Bond!) 2) Bob Holness in a South African radio adaptation of Moonraker 3) Bob Simmons, a stuntman, is the person who walks out, spins round and shoots at the camera in the opening of Dr. No (I told you it was technical) 4) Sean Connery in the film itself And of course nobody has bettered Connery since... Weirdly, that was shot in black and white. Presumably that was the first shot ever of a Bond film. Did the makers assume the rest of Dr. No would be b/w?

FFS did a brief double take on that and thought we'd lost Captain Kirk! No, but it turns out Schallert appeared on an episode of Star Trek The only good one The Tribbles one. C'mon! City on the Edge of Forever is brilliant!
-
Shame. Won me a few bob that, in 2008. Funnily enough, my other GN winner, Rough Quest (1996), is still alive at 30!

Latest update. Too late for Schallert...

First instance I can remember of thinking "I thought he died years ago", when reading the news of a celebrity passing... -
