Died of natural causes, yet slipped and fell and hit her head? Interesting use of the term...

Small 6-degrees of separation/Kevin Bacon factoid: I graduated in the same year and at the same university as one of Cilla's sons...just on different days!

That's Peter O'Sullevan knocked done the running order in the next DDP update then...

Didn't she say something a little while back about not living beyond 75?

Death Anniversary Thread

You know, I didn't know until years later that he had died. Wasn't Rentaghost still going on at that time? Same here. I'm pretty sure it was still be shown in repeats around the time he died. Apparently it originally finished in 1984! I thought the series carried at least until the late eighties, but it seems they were repeats... Sad as it may seem I've been pondering on this for the past six years. I finally decided to that Radio Times back copy site to see if Rentaghost was shown until the late 1980s as my memory told me it did. My memory was wrong. Last time a standalone episode of Rentaghost was shown was October 1986, it wasn't shown again until 1990 as part of the 8.15 from Manchester (which I didn't watch). http://genome.ch.bbc.co.uk/search/40/20?order=desc&q=rentaghost#search That's a great website to confirm or debunk myths of what I watched/didn't watch during the 80s. Still haven't found the overseas stop-animation film (possibly East European/Scandinavian origin) with Murray Walker guesting as the voice of the commentator during the race at the end with the all the animals... Maybe that was just the mushrooms.... Or red Smarties, according to myth... -
Should have it's own really...

Big miss for the DDP too. Picked every year from 2007 to 2014...but not this year!

Remembrance of the Daleks The Greatest Show in the Galaxy Ghost Light The Curse of Fenric Survival I beg to differ. That's a decent hit rate IMO...

I'd say he falls into the Uzzaman category, but at least with Uzzaman there's hope that he died in 2015 (for deadpoolers obviously). Anyhow, The Times have published an obituary which is as good as confirmation he's dead, personally I'd assume the worst and he's been dead a long time and won't gather points. http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/opinion/obituaries/article4513239.ece?CMP=Spklr-_-Editorial-_-TWITTER-_-TimesObits-_-20150730-_-216118445&linkId=15960975 What he said. Uzzaman has a good chance of an obit, Omar unfortunately looks to have carked it in 2013, which is a bummer but such is the vicissitudes of deadpooling...

Who Will Win The Leadership Election?
themaninblack replied to Deathray's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
There's nowhere else for the Labour right to go but to sit on their hands and take it if Corbyn wins. The last time the left were ascendant, many left to join the SDP and that idea is now dead in the water. The centre of the British politics is eight nobodies on the opposition benches called the Lib Dems. He won't win any votes in Tunbridge Wells but that's not the point, it's about time there was a genuine opposition to the government rather than the mealy-mouthed version we got from Miliband etc. And it will frighten the living shit out of the right if Corbyn proves in any way popular nationwide and that's good enough for me... -

He disagrees with reducing the deficit at any cost, in the UK at the minute - due to press bias and fabrication - that makes him Stalin's successor. On a much cooler note - if you need any proof that weed makes you lazy - there's an estimated 3 million people who smoke weed in the uk yet only 1 in 30 of them have bothered to sign the petition to legalise it despite it being up nearly a week. Too busy down at the petrol station ordering munchies... -

I watched Andrew Neil last week trying that cobblers about talking to the IRA in the wake of the 1984 Brighton bombing. Never mind the fact Andrew that the British government did have talks with the Provos within months of this apparent threat to British DemocracyTM and didn't tell anyone about it for 20 years! -

Labour aren't going to be in government for 10-15 years anyway so they might as well have Ken Dodd as leader... -
There's a perfectly rational explanation for this, Spade. He was creosoting his garden fence and just slipped! These things happen all the time...
