Lets hope so , i think that certain popstar is prolific as Savile was. TBH I don't, I think Savile was a reptile so low the only thing that turned him on was breaking a taboo. The "beloved popstar" is more plain in denial. I doubt he has rings made from the glass eyes of the dead etc. Or that he did his dead dutchess when she finally popped her (very ancient) clogs. "Duchess"? I do hope you don't mean one of The Stranglers, cos I'm going to see them next week Apparently "Duchess" was what Savile called his mum. I know. I was joking. Sorry, DJL, I had forgotten you were an Aussie so perhaps I should have explained that "Duchess" is a song by The Stranglers. That's cool. I have to admit I don't know all that much about the Stranglers - they are probably best known down here for doing Keith Floyd's theme! The tune is called 'themeninblack'...

I remember that the police did investigate some MPs back in the day. Greville Janner was caught up in a massive child abuse trial in Leicester when Frank Beck tried to implicate him in his trial. Janner was not charged with anything. Beck died shortly afterwards in prison at a relativly young age. I am not sure how widely this was reported outside of the East Midlands. True fact this: The day after Beck died in 1994, Chris Morris used radio footage of some official reacting to his death (basically saying "good riddance") for a spoof news annoucement about Jimmy Savile's "death" for his first Radio 1 show!

He'll certainly be up the swanee without a paddle by end of play today...

I reckon Emu will have gone to ground with all this going on. I mean, has anyone seen him recently?

I reckon he'll get 5 years...

Bloody hell, 1998? You're just a pup! My memory of World Cups go back to 1982 and this tourney is right up there among the best World Cups (not as good as Euro 2000 though). The Germany v Algeria match was great too. Shades of 82/86 in the quarters with France v Germany & Argentina v Belgium...

Edge of Darkness was written by Troy Kennedy Martin. The project he did before for the Beeb was his 1983 adaptation of Angus Wilson's dystopian black comedy 'The Old Men at the Zoo'. Now that's what I want to see repeated...

Third legs, didgereedoo, wobble board. It all makes sense now...

They are; Monday nights, 10pm (so we've already missed ep. 1. No iPlayer catchups available either, bastards!) That's alright, I've got it on DVD...

I wonder if it was Peter Sutcliffe?

Hmmmm, not good, not good at all. Savile, Glitter, sure but Rolf? Just goes to show how much we don't know about public figures...
-
It won't increase his creativity...

The latest update is up. There will be another of a different sort in the next few days...

She'll get clobbered I reckon. A year or two down the line when the dust settles...

The irony is that Germany could face Algeria in the second round who have an old score to settle...
