I didn't say he was James Hewitt's son, startling though the resemblance is. He looks like Diana's brother as well. Can't see any similarities between him and the Duke but will defer to your superior knowledge, Windsor. Pippa Middleton had a nice colour don't you think? I suspect they were steering her away from Prince Philip at every turn.

Harry would make a much more fun King with his Nazi costume despite the fact that he isn't really Message Deleted by Deathlist I thought I had escaped the blanket coverage until a lady on the radio said how wonderful it was to have a joyous occasion like this with the country in so much trouble and the "doom and gloom" etc I nearly crashed the car hearing that and wished desperately that the people waving flags and standing outside the palace had bothered to get off their arses for ten minutes last May

Thanks NAP. If he does then he is a demon backer-upper. And not fond of maple syrup pancakes around computers. Nice to see you again by the way

That is close enough DDT! It's the avatar created by Captain Oates for celebrations and described by Banshees as a Beauty Makeover. Thank you
-
That was my first one but I only had that for a week or so. You did help me slim it down in 2005 as I recall, thank you. I could use it again I suppose.
-
Long shot but can anyone help me find my avatar? I was drunkenly messing around with sign generators and my personal picture at the weekend and replaced it by mistake without saving the old one. I thought I had a copy on Face-book, but no. And I lost all the lovely photo-shopped seasonal variations kindly produced by Hein and Captain Oates in the Great Pancake and Maple Syrup / laptop incident of 2011. My husband found the picture in 2005 before Google Images even existed! It doesn't help that James Cameron, the bastard, released a film entitled "Avatar" That's if anyone can even remember what it looked like. I'm not too sure myself

My husband is already looking at two-seaters which I thought a bit odd since our youngest is only three years old. Thanks to your post I can see it for the ploy that it is!
-
Thanks for that Godot Have to agree with Honest John, the S-Max is a seven-seater sports car. Semi-automatic so I can put it into "asexual Mum-mobile" mode and my husband will break the speed limit and whoosh about leaving boy racers standing have fun driving it at weekends. What more could one ask from a family car?

I deleted my last post about having to learn to drive because I have a more important question. New Grand C-Max or Grand S-Max? I'm going to be looking at both tomorrow so I'd appreciate advice from Clarkson-esque DLers.

Birthdays, Births, Anniversaries, Etc...

Thanks LG! Yours isn't far off either. I'm still mystified at the message from you that came through to my phone this afternoon which was dated today but also stamped 23:53 If you are able to post from the future it may well have implications for Dead Pools. -
I've had the Kindle app on my phones / iPod Touch for ages but it's a real pain when the sun is shining trying to read a backlit screen. The Kindle screen is just like a book page. The battery lasts for ages and it will easily sync with all your other devices. You can download samples of books you might be interested in and Amazon give you a decent amount of text in that respect as well as a personalised newsletter with samples based on what you have ordered. Everything is stored on a centralised server so if you do drop it in the bath / walk into a lamppost / get mugged you only have to replace the hardware.

Man kills himself with giant pencil Details are sketchy but it's just not write, is it?

It is very odd. I used to speak to someone who lives in Palm Beach and when she heard about my daughter's condition she kept saying, "but if you lived here you'd be able to see the best haematologist in the country!" At a cost of quite a few extra dollars no doubt, not to mention $$$ for travel and the doctor thousands of miles away in an emergency I never could explain that my daughter already sees the top people in the country at no extra cost and whenever she needs them. The hospital is grim and Victorian yes, but who cares?

Chester draws Pine. Chester pine draws. I covet them. -
I have successfully traumatised several groups of children by thrusting a fake hairy claw through the letterbox. Now for the surly and monosyllabic teenagers wearing cheap masks. Next year I'll have this crap but for now they can share a satsuma and key my neighbour's car as mine is hidden and the miserable twat has parked in my space as usual

Sorry about that CP, I didn't see the bit in brackets saying, "Ukraine's Got Talent" last night. -
Things To Do While Waiting For Death... 2009

Representing what happened to Russians during WWII. At the end it says something like, "1945; You will always be near'' People in the audience were moved to tears by it so I'd like to think it was haunting and significant for them, rather than just the over-sentimentality of Britain's Got Talent judges -
Excellent post, honez. People who park in parent and child spaces with school-age, mobile and biddable children however, should be shot.

My cat hasn't been sick as I don't own one, nor have I poisoned the creatures which come into my garden exposing my children to toxoplasmosis. Yet. Also, are some fish vertical? I only ask because I have been "looking after" them and the one is very, er - straight. -
Oh it must be awful to say goodbye to a good friend so soon

Who Will Be Headliner In Tomorrow's Newspapers Farrah Or Wacko Jacko?
Boudicca replied to 1_TO_THE_HEAD's topic in DeathList Forum
It isn't the worst poll DeathList has ever seen. There is more than one voting option at least. -
When I broke the news to my daughter that MJ had died she immediately asked if he had been eaten by the zombies. Fair enough, she has only ever seen the "Thriller" Youtube clip legally-bought DVD. It's very strange, she was watching the news with me earlier and recoiling slightly at the footage but she has completely forgotten that when she was a toddler I would often say, "bedtime - now, or Michael Jackson will be coming to get you" and she would scamper straight up to her cot after seeing the hideous images from the Bashir Doc.

I've always wondered about that myself, Windsor. My daughter's life would be very difficult if she fainted at the sight of blood!
