Seen Any Good Films Lately?
the_engineer replied to Cowboy Ronnie's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
After Chris Marker's death the other day, you should really go and watch his film La Jetee, upon which Twelve Monkeys was based. Cheers man i will put it on my to watch list. Never knew twelve monkeys was based off anything. -
Well he won't be facing the death penalty, has no serious illnesses that we know of (physically at least), is only 33 and doesn't strike me as the suicidal type. He didn't try to top himself like mass spree-killers typically do. So I would say no. Agreed. Breivik is a poor choice for the DeathList. James Holmes is a better choice because there's a good chance he actually will get the death penalty. Yea i agree I think if he wanted to commit suicide he would of done it after he killed all the people , he would of turned the gun on himself. I can only see him dying in the next 20 years in prison if he is attacked and killed by a fellow inmate. Are you talking about Breivik or Holmes or Both? I think both are in danger from fellow inmates, especially Holmes! Although it does depend on if either of them will end up in a nice padded cell! Breivik. I think Breivik is sane believe it or not , by sane i mean he knew what he was doing . Certainly his actions and logic were insane . Preserving the danish people by killing 77 of them hmm? I really think if he is put in prison the Danish government will want him out the way and im sure a guard will turn his back and he will get killed. However holmes I believe is completely insane ,you can tell by his actions . One of the prosecutours said he was putting it on , if he is he deserves a Oscar . Can't act that far away surprised look insane /people on drugs have IMO.

Yea a recognizable face for sure a bit surprised to find out he died. I'm Sure there is another guy that looks like him is it his brother? The other one on Bargain Hunt who likes a bit like him is Mark Spencer. Don't think they are related, given their different surnames. Sorry, I meant Mark Stacey, not Mark Spencer! There is a forum discussing them all here: http://forums.digita...d.php?t=1229121 I always thought they were brothers until he died I guess not, They do look alike though .

Yet when the Chinese 4 years ago drafted in people to watch the games to fill half empty seats it was because their government is evil, corrupt and no Chinese can afford to watch the games . So does that apply to us this time too? The sad thing is most of the Chinese newspapers are probably writing positive things about the Olympics in the UK. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/olympics/2545531/Beijing-Olympics-China-drafts-in-spectators.html

IMO it's been shit since 1988. That year a third public TV channel was launched in the Netherlands. I proudly present Magere Hein's Conservation Law of Quality TV Time. My hypothesis is that, ever since the invention of TV, the amount of quality TV that's broadcast every week has been constant. Since that time the number of channels has increased by a factor of 1000 or more, and quality TV time is divided among all those channels. Therefore the odds are overwhelmingly that you'll miss it. regards, Hein In the Uk there is no decent comedy anymore and everything is reality TV . I believe the Netherlands were the first to be infected with reality TV with endemol i think?

Tito jackson Jr is temporary guardian . Why do I have the feeling that Jackson's brothers and father would take all of Michael's money and leave his kids biological kids or not without a dime .

Caught the last 10 minutes of it on Friday (only 'cos you mentioned it here) what a load of bollocks. What a pile of shite! (etc) God ITV have gone cheap , £50 pound chips for £10,000 pound prize money and not all win that . Far cry from million pound jackpots on who wants to be a millionaire. TV really has been shit since about 2003 IMO and its just gets worse and worse every year.

I remember him from the royale family and keeping up appearances very sad to hear he has died. His face is more recognisable than his name in the acting world i don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing. R.I.P

I agree I thought it was just so sad , like they wheeled him out . His wife or whoever it was , was shouting at him to wave . I think he is angry inside but can't show it . Definitely shouldn't of been apart of the show .

I thought it was a great opening ceremony and a nice touch having bradley wiggins open it too. Just hope we mange to finish in the top 5 Olympics medal table otherwise it will be a little embarrassing after a such a great opening .
-
Its about time he retired. Or at least time those who organise these things realised he's well past it. Hope i have that much hair at his age or is it a wig , hair transplant or genetic luck he never lost his hair ?

I don't want to encourage more readers to add animated gifs (or for that matter large pictures) to their signatures. So listen very carefully, I shall say this only once… [img=url of the picture] In other words: it's the bog-standard way of putting a picture in BBCode. regards, Hein cheers thanks hein.

I'm impressed that they actually have drug rehab in Thailand I think they probably just gave him a 100 thai hookers and hoped all the sex would take his mind of the drugs. Didn't know ladyboys were his bag you mean this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yW4yAPpEwT0 or a lady that's really a man ?
