28 Years Of The Deathlist!
the_engineer replied to themaninblack's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
when i found out about Diana's and Michael Jackson's deaths i was playing computer games. Diana i thought she was the queen of England at the time , i was playing that terrible handheld game gear console lol when my mum turned on tv and I found out. That was the first time from TV that I felt something serious was happening, second time was 9/11. Michael Jacksons death i was playing gears of war 2 online heard over the mic people talking Michael Jackson is dead thought they were messing , put TV onto news saw it quit the game and came straight online reading articles and deathlist of course. BTW on a side note about 9/11 our school were the absolute worst at handling it we left school usually at 3.30 pm but like a hour earlier they literally gathered all the pupils together went from class to class and just told us all to go home , you may think we were all happy but actually many were freaked out fellow pupils were asking why and all we were told to just go home. Looking back on it the teachers were probably freaked out too but they could of handled it better. -
How about simply .... John's Hurt

Pancreatic. The reaction to which is basically "Oh fuck!". With his age and poor prognosis for pancreatic cancer he should defo now be on next years deathlist.

What about the grandson Winston Churchill (very imaginative these nobs), MP for Davyhulme and Stretford, died in 2010 Indeed, he was a DDP score for me. Another of his grandsons, Nicholas Soames is or was an MP. Nicolas is still an MP for mid sussex . He's also fat as fuck, still partial to a snack and - arguably - a heart attack waiting to happen, just sayin', like. So your saying maryport he may be a good choice for a certain deadpool or bingo perhaps hmm? Maybe your hinting the rotund politician might not make it though the next 5 years ? You saying he might fall ill and trigger some kind of by election? Ok fuck it Nicolas soames is one of my picks for by election bingo !!

Repeat ad infinitum I am not a civil servent. Yes I came from a working class background but for me Christopher Lee was a superb actor who had a remarkable and long career. He was not known for making political statements and I would not have held them against him. I was a big fan of Patrick Moore and he was well known Tory (later UKIP) supporter but he was a great astronomer and science communicator. They say you become more right wing as you get older . Maybe because people accumulate wealth or wise up or just get pissed off about everything ? The left wing parties (certainly in this country) tend to try and cater to all sets of voters and they end up not making any of them happy . Labour accused of being pro immigrants ,pro ethnic minorities and forgetting the white working class but large chunks of the ethnic vote actually voted conservative especially hindu and sikh and a good chunk of the white working class went to UKIP. That was one of the key reasons they lost the election well that and treating the Scottish people like fools. Labour like to jump on bandwagons to get votes the conservative party know who their core supporters are and stick with them.

Zito has died aged 82. I have mario zagallo as a unique in my DDP list very hard to get a unique pick in DDP so if he dies this year I might actually have a chance of finishing in the top 20 and if a couple of other deaths go my way finishing in the top 10.

I was quite surprised to find out that Winston churchill's grandson is an MP never knew any of his descendants were involved in politics.

The big summer of famous deaths? B.B.King, John Nash, Christopher Lee and other people who were very good at what they did, and many people consider them to be famous, but aren't REALLY famous because 90% of today's uneducated society has never heard of them.I bet at least 90% of people know who he is!Dusty Rhodes and charles kennedy too. Though i guess charles kennedy would only be a big death in the UK. That's one hell of a list and the summer has only just started . Tariq Aziz and Ruth Rendell too within the last month. Of course, every year seems to have a large cull of big names as we get older. eg 2014 - Eusebio, Sharon, Schell, Aragones, Seeger, Hoffman, Temple, Rooney, Ramis, Benn, Marquez, Townsend, Hoskins, Giger, Mayall, Kasem, Wallach, Garner, Di Stefano, Williams, Bacall, Attenborough, Rivers, Kiel, Paisley, Whitlam, Bruce, Cocker, Rainer 2013 - Winner, Chavez, Achebe, Griffiths, Ebert, Thatcher, Andreotti, Harryhausen, Gandolfini, Banks, Matheson, Mel Smith, Heaney, Frost, Norton, Clancy, Metsu, Reed, Lessing, Mandela, O'Toole, Fontaine, Biggs 2012 - Etta James, Gazzara, Houston, Davy Jones, Sendak, Summer, Gibb, Megrahi, Ephron, Shamir, Bradbury, Borgnine, Lord, Ride, Binchy, Vidal, Diller, Armstrong, Hal David, Michael Clarke Duncan, Lom, Andy Williams, Hagman, Brubeck, Shankar, Patrick Moore, Klugman, Gerry Anderson. 2009 (a former posters "Summer of Death"), for perspective: McGoohan, Montalban, Updike, Silver, Richardson, Ballard, DeLuise, Eddings, Carradine, Fawcett, Jackson, Malden, Cronkite, McCourt, Robson, Aquino, John Hughes, Les Paul, Ted Kennedy, Swayze, Todd, Brittany Murphy (Just counting folk one would assume were world famous and not big names in their own country like Lloyd-Pack, Fred Phelps and Clive Dunn and so on, too...) The more things change... all years have big deaths and as they are more stars alive at an old age the names will only get bigger i-e when al pancio and paul maccarty they will probably make headlines I remember the summer 2009 on here fawcett and jackson dying on the same day neither one of them were on the deathlist still the site was jammed. I kept on getting exceeding bandwidth limit and every 5 mins managing to read the site , I think that was the most people that had ever been on this site at that time. I know when thatcher died it overtook it. I wonder if zsa zsa and fidel died on the same day would they set a new record of people online.

New Here And Just Saying Hello
the_engineer replied to football_fan's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
ahh that makes sense They are an accumulation of liked posts you have received , the more likes you get the change in the wording. I think it ends at excellent, though apparently when you reach 1000 likes you get a special new word which is shrouded in mystery and secrets . Or it just continues to stay at excellent its either one or the other. 1000 likes? I thought it was earned at 1000 posts. Guess I'm done trying now :-( SC I think MPFC will be the first person to get 1000 likes probably this year. -
I sincerely hope he doesn't piss it all against a wall. Actually he is investing it wisely on the 3.40 at chepstow

Just got this off the rolling news service look at these roles , Count Dracula Dracula (1958) The Creature The Curse of Frankenstein (1957) Henry Baskerville The Hound of the Baskervilles (1959) Lord Summerisle The Wicker Man (1973) Francisco Scaramanga The Man with the Golden Gun (1974) Dr Catheter Gremlins 2: The New Batch (1990) Mohammed Ali Jinnah Jinnah (1998) Saruman the White The Lord of the Rings Trilogy (2001-3) Count Dooku Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (2005) Truly one of if not the best actor Britain ever produced (maybe even the world) no one will ever have a career like his with these types of iconic and memorable roles . R.I.P Sir Christopher Lee

Looking at those Photos i would be surprised if he lives to see next year he looks as if he is near the end, wouldn't be surprised if he had Cancer. Must be something like that.I know he is 79 and has had infections but I doubt that alone would make you look that ill. I just saw these pictures before seeing your post, and I said exactly the same to my old man - he'll definitely be on my list if he sees January 1st. I might even make him my joker. He is an awful yellow colour as well.Liver cancer maybe?Or Stage 4 cancer that has spread to the liver.Whatever it is though I think it must be very serious. It is sad to see him like this. Still has a full head of hair if he was receiving chemo wouldn't it have fallen out or does that only effect some ? Also he may of chose not to receive chemo hence him looking bad and still having full head of hair. Isn't he reputed to have worn a hairpiece for years? You know i don't know if so that's one amazing looking wig had me fooled. Though I suppose he could afford the best .
