I'm by no means a Coogan fan; years ago i bought the I'm Alan P/KMKY box set. I still haven't watched them all, because its too much of the same thing. I've seen him in straight roles (Philomena, Shepherds and Butchers to name 2) but no matter the part, I kept on expecting to shout "Aha" (see also David Jason).
-
I've noticed increasing usage of the terminology "bottle shop" to describe an establishment where one might purchase alcoholic beverages to consume at home (or in the park, on the beach etc). What's wrong with good old-fashioned British terminology like off-licence, offie, outdoor etc.?
-
Are they suggesting Mosley's been abducted by aliens?

695 years since Robert the Bruce died, aged 54. He was King of Scotland from 1306 to 1329 (his death).

Hooray It’s A Holi-Holiday 00 The Barren Knights- A Taste of Aggro -6 I thought, at first glance, this was a pretty uninspiring selection. On second glance, it's still pretty uninspiring, but maybe less uninspiring than at first glance. Anyway faced with a difficult decision, I chose to eliminate the Barron Knights -

Its D-Day, show some respect -
Only since his death have I realised that the part he played in Coronation Street was that of Ted Sullivan. I used to watch the programme in those days, and remember the character (confectionery salesman, married Rita, died watching a bowls match iirc) but never made the connection.

This, in my opinion, should have been one of the first to get eliminated. Absolute pants (no pun intended (OK, pun intended)). -
I didn't know who he is either - I thought he was the Formula 1 bloke. (Seriously though, if I watch anything like his shows, its purely by accident, often after a skinful of booze, so I wouldn't remember anyway).
-
Still FFBI though.

A stick of butter I do understand (I think) - their packs of butter are made up of 4 'sticks' of ¼lb each! Hence a stick = 4oz. -
(Yes, its definitely in Clacton)

"Colossus of Scottish journalism" David Scott dead at 83, following a short illness (but a long retirement). Newspapers, BBC and independent TV, retired at 53.

It's strange, I have an aversion to clicking on Daily Mail links, yet will quite comfortably click on Metro links, despite them both being owned by the same company.

My Joker/Wildcard/whatever Jeanette Charles is a hit!
-
No problem, you're doing a great job. I only have one team to watch and it took me 15 months to notice the omission.
