I've decided who I'm not voting for, so it looks like the 'least worst' candidate will get my vote. We did have this candidate listed as standing, but she seems to have withdrawn.

No you didn't, you were on this forum posting crap for a good part of it. Also, watching every episode, back to back, uninterrupted, would take well over a week. Now run along, its past your bedtime.

Britain's (former) tallest man, Chris Greener has died aged 71 (his funeral was today). He held the title for 40 years, at a mere 7' 6". He had a few movie credits, including The Elephant Man, and also appeared on the first Mrs. Merton Show.

Great Song/Noughties Does not compute, fatal error. Come on! It wasn't all tosh... No, not quite all. And since this is Room Lovely, let's see Bruce getting his shirt off. You try to convince me that the noughties had some good music and Exhibit A is Bruce Springsteen if there is anyone who looks and sounds like they have been left over from the Seventies it is Bruce. I also think that durable artists don't count unless that was the era when they came to prominence. I await Exhibit B. Here's the NME's top 100 songs of the noughties. There must be something there that isn't tosh, though Beyonce's Crazy in Love gets top spot, so....

Yes it's knit-pick night. Nowhere in that obit (I read it twice) does it suggest that Suzanne was an actress, on the contrary ('she shunned the limelight'h Ahh but Wiki (http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suzanne_Farrington) does mention she was a 'British actress', but lists nothing beyond that. The only on screen appearance mentioned was Vivian holding her up to a camera as an infant. Wiki goes on to say Suzanne studied in hopes of being an actress, but those dreams would go unfulfilled (she appeared on what in essence was a school play) and later unwanted. I suspect you wrote that Wiki entry as well as the post herein, and lay claim to Suzanne Farrington as an actress (Brit or otherwise). SC That'd be 'nit-pick' .

That Don't impress Me Much made number 3 on the UK singles chart; so did her next single Man! I feel Like a Woman in a run of seven top-ten hits - source, The Virgin Book of British Hit Singles.. (Having said that, the two titles I've quoted are the only two that ring any bells with me).

Reading the Metro article linked to by Bibliogryphon in Room 101, I was surprised to find that not only is David Graham still alive (aged 90), he's reprising his role as Parker in the upcoming Thunderbirds reboot!

Sorry but how does one unsuccessfully shoot themselves in the head? Either they hit the target or they didn't. SC He shot himself in the head but didn't inflict a fatal wound. It's fairly simple to deduce. that's what he meant but didn't say On a point of pedantry he was successful in shooting himself in the head. I have to go with SC on this one. Did I just say that? Clearly it was a fair ribbing but I am enjoying ferreting out those who have OCPD around here. SC Oklahoma City Police Department? I thought it was what Nimoy died from.

Bollocks, what's she going to do for the next few decades? If she were a band, it'd be the reunion tour in a few years time!

I suppose heatstroke will make a pleasant change from frostbite.

I thought Grant Shapps made a very coherent case in defence of his party leader last night.

Looking at that photograph, I think skill had more of a part to play.

Is this an exam or test question or is it a 'real-life' problem that you're trying to solve? Either way, I don't know how anyone can access a powerpoint show without any Powerpoint software, be it .pot, .ppt or .pps. Also, afaik, you can't save a Powerpoint presentations as a .bmp. file (in the version I've used anyway). There is a free Powerpoint viewer (available from MS) that enables viewing (but not editing) a presentation, seems to like .ppt files. Don't know if this helps, but that's the extent of my Powerpoint knowledge. You could try Dave Gorman!

$16100 for his "crack-smoking NFL tie". Here's some other stuff, should you be so inclined.

Why should anyone have an issue with it? Why do you?
