...And Al Davis died just 3 days later in 2011. More relevant would be the death of Dennis Ritchie on the same day

A quick consult of IMDb shows a list of guest performers as long as your arm, including one G Glitter (though she's maybe the wrong demographic for him). She also says she was 'once groped', which suggests that it wasn't by a regular face on the show. The guest list also includes 'Kissing the Pink' <make up your own joke here>.

The odds on the Toskvig grope Evens = Lenny Peters (and Lee) 6-4 = George Shearing, jazz pianist 20-1 = Stevie Wonder You get my drift! Where does she say she was groped by a bloke?

John Peel = BBC at it's best. So it is obvious that the Daily Mail want to damage his reputation. Because they are insane... Also, John Peel is dead, so they can more or less say what they like about him without fear of repercussions.

Obit for Sven Hassel

Jim now regretted calling the firemen nancy-boys who liked playing with big hoses. (The story, in case you missed it)

Historian Eric Hobsbawm has died aged 95 after a long illness.

Bob Godfrey, just to keep my 100% inaccuracy intact.

Nope, still no bells ringing. Edit to add: My heart skipped a beat when I saw the headline 'Katy Perry's Ex'; there was a brief flicker of hope that it was really that twat Brand

Not knowing who Ryan Buell is, I googled him - the second hit is this report in the Daily Mail from barely a month ago. If you're looking for an obit, that's the place to look. One of the links on that page shows former 'Happy Days' actress Erin Moran looking rather rough, describing her as 'homeless and destitute'.Apparently she likes to 'party hard'.

Olga Powell, nanny to the Princes Harry and William, has died of a heart attack aged 82.

Better get used to losing him.

At the risk of being labelled a pedant, David Cameron was an outright winner of the 2010 election; he took 58.8% of the vote. The Conservative Party is another thing entirely. Time you are a pedant. But that statistic throws up another question. Over 40% of the inhabitants of Witney don't think David Cameron is the best person to be thier MP. Surely he should be getting over 70% in a part of the country where children are born sporting blue rosettes. Actually over 60% of the electorate didn't vote for him (the 58.8% is of the 73.3% turnout) but thats our elctoral system for you. What proportion of the votes you (or anybody else) think he should be getting is entirely irrelevant. Anyway, to get the thread back on topic - privatisation & council housing.

No Mr Bond - ex-player and Norwich, Man City, Bournemouth boss John has died.

She's not particularly well-known this side of the pond, but with The Daily Mail embracing all things USAiain, she might get a mention there.

Some of the supporting cast are also worth watching Jeremy Kemp - played Sqn Ldr Tony Shaw in 4 episodes - born 3 Jan 1935 (aged 77); not active since 1998 but with a list of credits as long as your arm, should be assured of an obit. Joanna David - played Cathy Carter in 2 episodes; born 17 January 1947 (aged 65) has appeared in numerous telivision roles and was still acting as of this year (Doctors); obit chances - pretty good. Garrick Hagon - played Lt Jim Phipps in 2 episodes; born 27 September 1939 (aged 72); still working, most recently in last weekends episode of Dr. Who (he was also in the original Dr Who, 40 years previously). Obit chances - fair to good. Geoffrey Palmer - played 'Doc' in 2 episodes;born 4 june 1927 (aged 85); still working, though very much assured of an obit when the time comes (unless there's a cock-up on the editorial front). Has also appeared in both versions of Dr. Who Jim Norton - played Capt. Porteous in 2 episodes; born 4 January 1938 (aged 74); still working, long list of credits including Straw Dogs &,Harry Potter; more than likely to get the requisite obit. I'll add some creative types presently.

I don't seem able to start a new thread... What am I doing wrong, or alternatively, why isn't the forum allowing me this privilege?

Oh boy, if she's still not dead when the Hell is he going to die? Hospitalised after a fall: Well, at least she has lived long enough to see her son's greed be his undoing. Interesting that she's never made the official list when she would be guaranteed extensive media coverage, perhaps DL was fearful of incurring the Dirty Digger's wrath? He's gonna be kinda preoccupied for the foreseeable future... Maybe she's not famous enough in her own right. Perhaps if the DL was Australia-based she might have squeezed in on the strength of her philanthropic endeavours. Perhaps one of our antipodean contributors might venture an opinion.
