    Rumours

The originally posted story now carries a rider that the Saudi's are denying the reports. The original source, Islam Times is still carrying it on their front page. As for , bearing in mind the standard of what passes for journalism at my local paper, I wouldn't be surprised by any spelling appearing in an on-line report.

"Pre", as in pre-planned, pre-order, pre-owned and such. The act of planning requires that its done before action, otherwise its not planned. I either order something or I don't. Even if its not immediately available, I'm still ordering it! Pre-owned, meaning owned previously (as in second hand) is just the same as owned. Its up there with using 'of' instead of 'have'!

    Pets

I thought they were only about £6 at the pet shop. Why not just replace it with a healthy one in the same colour and let the poorly one join the squirrels in the nearest wood with maybe a carrot for company? Jeez, the EC, inflation and VAT have a lot to answer for, a Guinea used to be £1.10p £1.05 back in my day.

    The Dead Of 2011

Also she was one of only 3 actors to appear in the old and new series of Doctor Who Elisabeth Sladen, Bella Emberg and Zoe Wanamaker being the other two? IMDB claims 23 have appeared in both versions, though I'm not checking that fact.

    Zsa Zsa Gabor

Zsa Zsa Gabor started spitting up blood moments ago ... and she's being rushed by ambulance to a local hospital ... TMZ has learned. Gabor's husband Prince Frederic von Anhalt tells TMZ ... Zsa Zsa is on her way to UCLA Medical Center. Anhalt says there was "lots of blood coming out of her mouth" and he's worried. I hope for her that she dies. I mean she can´t be glad to be alive when she is living with all this pain and going through all these operations. From the sounds of things I don't think she has any idea what is going on, no bad thing probably UPDATE: The Prince tells us Zsa Zsa's temperature is up and her leg is infected again. There is also blood and water in her lungs. The Prince also tells us she has an infection in her lungs as well. Shouldn't be a problem as its no longer connected to her body. Doesn't sound good (for her) though. Daily Mail report, with pictures.

    Fergie Frederiksen

Well I don't! And I've half a mind to think it is a scam. Second Rate musician in three minor one hit bands. And as I understand it, adding little to the back catalog + I've never heard of him. Wiki page has this on him... "Frederiksen is involved in increasing awareness of Hepatitis C through benefit shows for the American Liver Foundation."My guess is that he also has HepC and this has little to do with any cancer. Back to that one bit of news - saying the same thing "inoperable and life-threatening cancer" - in every place I've looked. One benifit concert, back in July 2010 - adding funds to a family trust? No other news since? No news about the hospital. No news about prognosis. NADA. If the said cancer were really serious (liver) he would have not seen out the year. I think it's BS to say inoperable in the middle of last year and he still be going now without some form of treatment. So what has this treatment been? Has it really been given up on? Is anyone really interested beyond thinking he may be worth 9 pts (and just 8pts beyond May 15th)? Toto were hardly a 'minor one-hit band'. And besides, there are cancers that can linger for years before they see people off, Egyptian president (for now at least) Hosni Mubarak is supposed to have had prostate cancer for years, actor Jerry Orbach was ill with prostate cancer for much of his time on Law & Order right up until his death. I knew a guy who was ill with cancer for years, at various points he was given 2-3 years but ended up lasting a lot longer than the doctors had forecast, though that was not such a good thing. Perhaps there has been no further news because he would rather keep it amongst his friends and family rather than the public at large. Are you such an expert on cancer that you can say definitively how long people afflicted with inoperable forms of it will last? Toto were a 'minor three-hit band', at least on these shores, and those hits were prior to Frederiksen's invovlement. As for cancers lasting years before seeing people off, that's true enough but then they are hardly 'life-threatening' in that case are they? One doesn't need to be an expert to conclude that 'inoperable, life-threatening' diagnoses are incompatible with no news of any kind since the initial news breaking.

In this case it was a bloke. I'm not Windsor!! Explain. Some of your posts seem anti-women to me I see. Actually, you might be on to something with the anti-woman thing. I've just seen Kerry Katona give an interview on Channel 4, and I have an intense urge to punch her in the face over and over again. I experienced something similar except it was an urge to punch Alan Carr in the face over and over again.

    Nelson Mandela

That is good. You know, in all seriousness for once, when Mandela passes away, I think there will be a lot of bloodshed in South Africa. He is holding the country together as a figurehead but once he is gone it will all just boil to the surface, (this on top of the current crime problems, endemic AIDS epidemic and crumbling health system. ) Mandela isn't holding the country together. He left the political stage years ago. Indeed, he hasn't been in the thick of things for some time, shame cause the present lot in SA are a right sorry bunch, their handling of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in particular was unforgivable. His passing will be a big deal, can expect a full state funeral with all major world leaders in attendance I meant as a purely symbolic figurehead. I think once that figurehead goes, all hell will break loose there. That makes no sense. He has made his contribution, he has retired, and has been out of public life since 2004. Thats like saying all hell should have broken loose in Britain after Churchill died. In the context of South Africa's history, and Nelson Mandela's place in it, it makes all sort of sense.
