Australian actor Ray Barrett has died aged 82. Not the most familiar name but he's done loads of work in UK TV, from voicing Thunderbirds and Stingray to appearances in Colditz, Dixon of Dock Green and The Saint, amongst others. IMDB

I suspect that the question was directed at our antipodean members and was supposed to read 'Am I complete, cobber?', but with the dyslexia kicking in, it all came out wrong.

He's thick....of course he'll take things slowly! However, I expect him to hit the clubs on release and bag another slapper straight away. Meanwhile, barely 6 months after St Jade's demise, Tweed remanded over rape charge.

Perhaps all will become clear if I explain that the late Mr Waterhouse was founder and Life President of AAAA - The Association for the Annihilation of the Aberrant Apostrophe, hence he devoted a good many columns highlighting the idiocy of the "Greengrocer's apostrophe" - Orange's and Apple's rather than Oranges and Apples - and its derivatives, thus I though it appropriate he receive "flower's" rather than "flowers". Google 'Waterhouse AAAA' for many examples of his fine work.

Hibs John 'Jock' Buchanan, scorer of the first European Cup goal on British soil, has died after a long illness, aged 74.

That's a shame, he wrote some very funny stuff (if not recently). The first book I remember making me laugh out loud was "Billy Liar". Shame he turned into a right-wing old bore, but then they all do in the end... I think it might have been some kind of illness because he wrote his last article for the Daily Maul a few weeks ago and it was promoted as such. I must send some flower's to his funeral!

In a bad year for notable dogs, Scooter, perhaps the world's smallest dog, has died following stomach ulcers caused by medication given following a broken leg.

Edvard Grieg died 102 years ago today, which seems as good a reason as any to play this performance by Mr. Andrew Preview.

There's a Diana Shrine just down the road from me, otherwise masquerading as a tea-shop, which is closing for a week in remembrance of said adulterous Princess. Ever get the feeling some people just ought to get a life?

Who was the oldest dead person then? Mozart?

Dame Vera hits the charts again. She's become the oldest living person to chart in the process (age 92).

I've been timid to reply as of late... You guys bash me most of the time and I'm an Aussie (although I do hold British citizenship). You might have the Ashes and you might have an undeserved sense of accomplishment, but we have nicer beaches. Score one to Australia. P.S. I'm an AFL man anyway. Well thats nothing to boast about. We give out citizenships to every f'ucker nowdays whether its Ahab the Arab or Ho Chi fooking Min. Actually I like Aussies, Sons and Daughters ( especially Patricia Hamilton ) Young Doctors the Ford Falcon GTHO and the Holden Monaro GTS 350. Infact I wish my parents would of had the balls to get a family ticket Down Under decades ago. Better country, climate, lifestyle, you name it, you have it. Thats why you must excuse our occassional OTT victory dances. We have sh*te all else to boast about. Your parents may have been allowed in, but I'm afraid you would of failed the Honez English Language test -
Fk me that was quick. According to the 'Mail On Sunday' (paper edition), he 'only had days to live'! He was certainly very big in the 60's, though I have to confess all I can remember of his TV show is the E-type.

DJ AM has been found dead in his NY apartment No, I've never heard of him either, but he was Nicole Richie's one-time boyfriend and survived the September 2008 plane crash involving Blink 182's Travis Barker, in which 4 others died.

I'm waiting for the official autopsy/inquiry/investigation to be finalised after getting my hands bitten off about killing Mehsud off before he was dead, or whatever. Depending on when that will be though. I'll weigh it up, but like Brad Renfro (who also had posthumous points added), the points are a-waiting to be a-warded before long. You mean there have been points awarded not posthumously (humously, prehumously, whatever - what is the opposite of posthumous?)?
