I rather think that website has got its Liz Smiths mixed up in the photo. Despite the fact there's important points riding on her, I do hope she's around for a little while yet. Bit of a national treasure in a Dame Thora way and she's absolutely nailed the gran parts.

First Wendy, now Mollie...could 2009 be the year of 'The Curse Of Grace Brothers'? On that note, how's Frank Thornton doing these days?
-
Somewhat crass to say but it's probably the second biggest news story this decade after 9/11. Probably. And biggest death since Diana. I can't help thinking though "Thank God it's not Madonna..."

It couldn't be possible, 3 in a day...was there ever 2(REAL CELEB'S) in a day prior to today? Hey, are the Aussie's in today? 6/25 or are they a day ahead/ behind? Day ahead, mate. The Jacko news was on the Breakfast TV shows. With this in mind, and the fact that I'm not sure what time it was here when Farrah joined the real angels, it's possible that your two in a day is our two in two days.

BBC Radio and BBC World News now are confirming it...

ABC now showing puppets and it doesn't look like a tribute. They seem to have gone back to reporting the reporting though. However, Channel Seven are stating "Jacko is dead" as fact. If it is/was a heart attack, I'm waiting for the blame it on the boogie jokes myself...

That said, Channel Nine are reporting that "it's being reported" that Michael Jackson had had a heart attack. No news regarding death, though it is Channel Nine...

Can't think of anyone else like that... Anyway...Danny La Rue has died aged 81. He probably has his own thread but I'll be stuffed if I can be bothered with that bloody seach feature. What a drag. Bugger, I remember remarking how old he looked when was on that Norman Wisdom programme last year, then fogot all about him for this year's DDP I'm sure I've mentioned him in the past as a possible "to go on the list", but... Still, if is anything to go by, his spirit lives on in Lauren Harries...

I was thinking that, they should have used one from her Golden Girls years... Is it just me, or is she trying to conceal two chunks of Toblerone? Anyway, this will really put the kibosh on Justin Lee Collins' "Bring Back The Golden Girls", if he was planning it. Which he probably wasn't. I think it was the final "public" photo of Bea Arthur. Shades of Bette Davis in her final days in that picture, but then again maybe cancer does that.

I doubt many of these people would get a UK obit to be honest.
-
Let's hope he next shacks up with Heather Mills Am I correct in thinking Jack Tweed received nothing from Jade Goody's will? If that's the case, I doubt Heather Mills would be very interested...

Apparently, he's appealing... ...as you can see...

I suspect Hello magazine already have a "Jade - One Year On" commemorative issue a la Diana already in the works , though it does beggar the question will anyone remember who she was, or care* in 2010? * Some of us never did, but...

I'm pretty certain the only reason she even announced her illness was because there were rumours she was back on the sauce. Apparently she has mild damage from MS, but (according to her website) it isn't currently active. Probably going to be around for a whole lot longer, but MS is an uncertain disease.

Film director and former AFL-er, Robert Dickson killed in a car crash. Not on the list either, but then again car crashes are difficult to predict unless you're Prince Philip or a member of MI6. Allegedly. Aussie obit here. Unlikey to get a UK obit though.
