This time, a real spy! Daphne Park, Baroness Park of Monmouth has gone undercover for the last time. She sounded like an absolute hoot! http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/obituaries...f-Monmouth.html

Adverts - you either love 'em or hate 'em
Madcow replied to Lord Fellatio Nelson's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Good grief, what were the makers of that ad thinking? For such horrors they ought to be put in the pillory. regards, Hein I agree, these latest adverts are truly appalling but pale into insignificance against those sodding Go f'ing Compare opera singing twat ads. -
Robert Culp has died at the age of 79 after: Presumably he fell over? Whatever, he's a unique pick on the DDP for Just One More Death... Lt. Columbo, unnatural death points TMIB? He's certainly culpable for his own death, DDT... Graves then Culp - Shaping up to be a bad year for spies. Who's next? I'll go with Martin Landau or Leonard Nimoy, both Mission Impossible, although Tom Cruise deserves death for those crappy films.

No wonder she looks pissed.

I think I overtook Ginger McCain on th M5 today. It seems likely as the number plate read 'R80 RUM' and it turned off at Cheltenham. He could be a possible for a forthcoming list. Maybe in a couple more years, though.

Read something the other day about actor Christopher Cazenove being a bit peaky. Haven't heard anything else yet. I always get him muddled up with Simon McCorkindale.

Salinger was pretty much a recluse. Do any later photographs of him exist? Generally I veer towards the death's door picture if it's available but, as Dr Hack points out, there are very few Salinger pics out there and certainly no recentish ones. I find myself hoping that somone else carks fairly soon so I don't have to look at that photo every time I log on. I have to say that, even though Mr Foot would never ever have appeared on my 'shag list', that is a really nasty photo.

Damn, sometimes we're so funny it hurts.

I recall a song called 'Down in the Willow Garden' on an Art Garfunkel Album (my sister's, I hasten to add!) The chap skewers his love and ditches her in the river. On a similar vein, there is 'Hazard' by Richard Marx where he is presumed to have drowned Mary, although her body is not found.

Terry Jacks 'Seasons in the Sun' Makes me want to top meself, anyway!

Does Cutting Crew's 'Died in your Arms' count?

How about Whiskey in the Jar? Also, Tom Lehrer gave us a few classics involving death including The Irish Ballad and Poisoning Pigeons in the Park.

Two that immediately spring to mind are Billy, Don't Be A Hero (death by Civil War) and Tell Laura I Love Her (car crash). My favourite death song is The Severed Garden by The Doors. I intend to have this at my funeral.

Well done to all concerned. At least Isabelle managed to scrape in to Pisces which will make her intelligent and beautiful, whilst keeping the aquatic family tradition going! -
That's sad. I didn't think he'd ever die! He's like Clive Dunn - always been old and, therefore, must be immortal.

I like this idea. It's especially good if you have a fear of being buried/fried alive. It reminded me of the Python sketch 'is it a burner, burier or eater?'

Dr Josef Mengele died on this day in 1979, apparent drowning or stroke whilst swimming. Let's hope it was painful either way!
