Well, I gotta admit...besides Farrah, this is the most oppressive death this year for me. Red Dawn, Point Break, Roadhouse, and Youngblood are some of my favorite movies; and my son and I liked Tall Tale(Pecos Bill) too!! We will surely miss u man. Now if someone MORE FAMOUS dies tomorrow, and overshadows HIS death; like that FREAK Wacko Jacko did to Farrah...I will know there's absolutely NO justice in the world. R.I.P. Patrick(Jed, Bodhi, Dalton, Derek, Pecos)

    Political Frailty

Wasn't sure if this is the right spot but here goes...Robert S. McNamara, the secretary of defense vilified for carrying out the Vietnam War, died Monday.
  4. Wow, seems like the celebrity deaths have really picked up recently and I've never seen this many people on here since I joined. Glad I got on board when I did. Been wanting to for a few months but was too lazy. Well there went two of my 2010 picks. I really gotta do some thinking, I only got like 12 people I'm kicking around(for the list)...

    Michael Jackson

If Michael Jackson does die within the next year, I will forever leave this site. Bet on it. If MJ does die, and I come back to post on this site, the mods can be ban me. I'm willing to do that. I do hope you are going to honour that promise BC. Assuming that conspiracy theories are for the eccentric: MJ dead, post death BC posts, Lady G has Mod status. What's the worst that could happen? If only, unfortunately only admins have the power to ban members. I do like the conspiracy theory though, I wonder if OoO can account for his whereabouts yesterday, I'm sure I read somewhere that the police are searching for the 'doctor' who administered Jacko a painkilling injection shortly before he died . Speaking of the injection, a senior law enforcement official has told ABC News that Jackson has been HEAVILY addicted to OXYCONTIN and injected with that along with Demerol everyday...Demerol Yeah...but as far as Oxy's...how can you inject a pill?? Or is his Doctor actually crushing it up and putting it in a solution and injectiong him? Seems a little far-fetched until I though who it was...It really wouldn't suprise me at all. http://www.comcast.net/articles/music/2009...ENT-US-JACKSON/

    Walter Cronkite

Nobody cares. Michael Jackson just died. Yes, we care about Cronkite - he's on the list, the others aren't. This could be hit number four in a thin year so far. Yeah, S C R E W Wacko Jacko...stealer of Farrah's final headline...ain't gonna miss him at all!

    Farrah Fawcett

I know Diana was depicted as a saintly figure, but I had no idea that they made her Pope. Besides, Mother Theresa was a cow. Do I have to devote my life to: God, helping others, chastity, poverty and obedience to be known as a BULL ? S C R E W Jacko, Do u think Farrah will have top billing in the papers now?? Or will Plastic man Prevail? I'm gonna make a poll...

It couldn't be possible, 3 in a day...was there ever 2(REAL CELEB'S) in a day prior to today? Hey, are the Aussie's in today? 6/25 or are they a day ahead/ behind?

    Farrah Fawcett

I agree, she's the first one of this year I'll truly miss also. Growin' up in the 70's - 80's, she was the main character in MANY a dream...Man, was she HOT!!! Nothing finer at the time(Goldie Hawn was a little later if I remember correctly). Farrah, you still sneak in a dream now and then...Farewell Angel

    The Dead Of 2009

Hopefully that'll stop BCAlum 'moaning' for a while. Additionally, McMahon is the third The Simpsons guest star to die this year... perhaps I'll create a mundane thread about it. For the time being, yes. Anyway, I'd be lying to all of you if I didn't admit that I'm feeling a bit of, well "FINALLY!" As in, finally, I got a hit (even though I had McMahon listed for 2010, I'll still count him as a success). I'm not particularly saddened or shocked Ed McMahon died, to be frank. To me, he wasn't exactly one of the more likable TV personalities. His final years of his life were marred by financial problems and embarassing and degrading appearances on TV commercials. Most people outside America probably have never really heard of him anyway. But he's a big deal in the States. Just to clarify here after your Zsa Zsa comment, by your reckoning if you are lacking financial funds it is thus time to die? Does this mean that those living off of a basic state pension or those who've had all their savings taken from them to pay for their residential care should not bother trying to eek out their existence any longer? IMHO you are one strange character with little moral forethought. I was of the belief this site does not wish people to hurry up and die. The sooner you realise this the better. We may then get a little diversity in your posting. Sorry but I gotta side with BC on this one. It has nothing to do with pensions, etc.. Just some common sense. Someone making that kind of money who fails to pay their bills isn't very high on my list of responsible people. Ok he fought in 2 wars, and donates $$, that doesn't make you immune to paying your mortgage. If you can't afford the mansion...DOWNSIZE!!! "Ed McMahon, who has given to so many, may now lose his Beverly Hills home to foreclosure because he owes approximately $644,000 in payments on a nearly $5 million mortgage loan. Added to that fiscal fiasco is that American Express obtained a judgment against McMahon for just about $750,000 in unpaid bills, and a Washington-based company named Hix Inc. claimed he failed to repay a loan of $135,000. (In February, McMahon settled with Hix Inc., and now owes $51,000.) All tallied, McMahon, who earned millions over his 50-year career, is in debt for nearly $1.5 million. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/michael-lewi...y_b_105552.html

    Walter Cronkite

Supposing, the sickening capitalistic CPA of those said delectable, yet horribly overpriced, Wheatsworth cracker, was to suddenly pass away. Would he be permitted to grace the pages of our lovely list...perchance? or would he never be able to climb out of the rubble of Obits...Section C Page 23??? Forever ingrained in nothingness...

    Walter Cronkite

OOOoooooo Boy...could this be the one... From Comcast.net---"NEW YORK — CBS isn't commenting on reports that veteran newsman Walter Cronkite is gravely ill. The 92-year-old former anchor of "The CBS Evening News," who has been ailing for some time, has reportedly taken a turn for the worse, according to TVNewser and other online sites. CBS News spokesman Kevin Tedesco had no comment on Friday."
