Who Should Be on the 2012 DeathList?
CaptainChorizo replied to Spade_Cooley's topic in DeathList Forum
I'm not sure if the Committee* can put Mubarak on the list. There is a real chance he could be executed, and if he is that technically wouldn't be a hit - unless I am confusing my deathlist unwritten rules with the DDP rules? *I am aware it is the Committee's list, and that they can do what they want - even move the goal post. Ethan Zohn: Oh feck! I forgot all about him. I'm not sure about his obit chances. That asside, I can see no reason for not choosing him. Wouldn't Mubarak count if he was sentenced later in the year? I can't remember if he's still in a coma or not. Zohn might scrape an obit, I think the BBC did one on a contestant for Amazing Race a couple of months ago, so there's always a chance. But with Zohn's charity connections.... who knows YESS!! LOL That was one of his several other tv appearances. He was a contestant with his girlfriend on the last season of the Amazing Race, unless you mean a European version. But yeah, I dont think he'll have obit trouble. I forget which version of Amazing Race it was, but it was someone who was in the first series / season of it that died a couple of months ago. The contestant was Nancy Hoyt who raced with her daughter Emilie . The only place I heard about her passing a few weeks ago is message board for the show Amazing Race. Unless that show is a lot more popular in the UK I would say that's one of the more obscure people I can think of getting a Obit. If she got one I think Ethan would be close to a lock. -

2012 seems like one of those years a lot of former Heads Of States kick the bucket. I am thinking most or all of Kim Jong Il, Piet de Jong,Robert Mugabe, George HW Bush and Yitzhak Shamir won't see out the year -

Sparky Anderson one of the top 3 or so baseball manager of the last 40 years did not get a UK Obit. Carters chances are likely slimmer then his even. -

Some more names to add http://en.wikipedia....v%C4%9Br%C3%A1k Zdenek Zverak 75 year old Czech Actor/Writer who's 1997 film Kolya won an Oscar and GG for Best Foreign Film, and was nominated at the Bafta and European Film awards so his obit chances look highly likely when he croaks. Not sure if he has any health problems but he is already older then the avg life excpectancy for a male from his country so I guess he is a distint possibity. http://en.wikipedia....anda_Montenegro Fernando Montenegro the first Brazilian Actor to be ever get an Oscar nomination turned 82 last month. She is still actively working and could still be around a long time though. http://en.wikipedia..../Norma_Aleandro Norma Aleandro 75 is the Meryl Streep of Argentina As a Best Actress winner at Cannes Oscar nominee for her 1st Hollywood film Her 2nd Hollywood film being directed by James Ivory in 2009 I would say whenever she passes her UK Obit chances are almost certain. -

That is a shame he is one of the best stand up comics out there.

He is just using the running for President thing to raise his profile so he can sell more books and charge more for speaking fees. I am not sure about his current health but I bet he is having fun right now and his stress level is relatively low.

http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=espn:7124904 Not sure if this clip will play for people outside the Us but it's a 18 minute news feature on Scott Hall from a show called E:60. Pretty sad stuff but interesting to watch. The Bad Guy doesn't seem to long for this world, and according to TMZ he has relapsed since they filmed this segment a few months ago.

Robert Osborne The 79 year old Turner Classic Movies host is going on a leave of absence for minor surgery. At 79 and with a history of heart and weight problems I doubt any surgery is "minor" anymore. Not sure if he would get a Obit ouside of the Us. -
Unless someone else gets cancer or some other life threatening illness I think Rudy,Sugar or Ethan would be the only likely picks in a Us based pool for a while just based on how young most past contestants are. Although with 300+ past Survivors odds are there might be another trainwreck like Sugar who's behaivor is something no one in the public has a clue of.
