Also, Bobby Fulton has tested positive for COVID-19 according to Meltz, so it's very much a case of "will he QO?" rather than "will he die?" for this year's DDP.

"The Manager of Champions" Bobby Davis has died aged 83. One of the first wrestling managers to find national fame, he escorted the likes of Buddy Rogers, Gorilla Monsoon and Curtis Iaukeau to the ring. Became a bit of a mythical creature to wrestling fans as a lot of his stuff didn't survive to the taped era, and he eschewed most dealings with wrestling for the last 40-odd years of his life (although he was present at the first WWF Hall of Fame ceremony).

Remember this cunt that was always on TV in the late 80s/early 90s then vanished completely? He's still alive. Only 67 but I can't imagine he has much to live for.

You need to exclude all of that 1,600 who had asthma, diabetes, high blood pressure or were a pound overweight though otherwise it's not a fair comparison.

Why is it "no-data"-ing Greenland? It's a devolved constitutional monarchy.

Only five deaths for the end of play GMT today - one "death reported on" that we know happened a few days ago (Alan Igbon) and a racehorse among them. So it's just a Moldovan MP from the early 90s, a Newport County winger from the 50s and the head of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority.

I think Mario Frick may actually be the most famous person from Liechtenstein.

Brilliant, great comic timing, absolutely nailed this joke.

1910 Croydon may be a red herring as I think it's this person, who died in 1981 and thus can't have been on This Is Your Life a year later. Unless they recorded those things heavily in advance?

Here's one I'm 99.99% sure is dead but haven't been able to find a death date for. Edith Ashby, who was the live-in maid to a young Bob Monkhouse. In his autobiography it says she was only a little older than his brother, who was born in 1922. She was a guest on his first This Is Your Life appearance in 1982, but I can't find a video of it. However, I think this must be her although she looks a lot older than 60. Similarly, there's a reference in Hansard from 1986 to an MP discussing one of his constituents, a Ms Edith Ashby of Fulham, saying she's 76 - which would match up with the age of the woman in the video. I think Monkhouse may have gotten her age wrong in his autobiography, but does anyone have anything better to match? EDIT: there's an Edith Annie Ashby born 1910 in Croydon that would match up with what we know so far (Monkhouse grew up in Dulwich so basically next door).

Hopefully this means that "play us out..." becomes a permanent feature of DDP year-end round-ups from now on.

To put Tanaka's age into perspective, she was born before Bix Beiderbecke (died 1931), Matthias Sindelar (died 1939) and Lou Gehrig (died 1941).

This "Lance O'Brien" was originally reported as being her husband, not her partner. Her husband for "18 years" according to numerous sources. And yet she was still married to her first husband, Barry Roberts, when he died in 2006. -
Oh shit, I used to watch his videos. He wasn't really a LetsPlay guy, he was more a... content provider/edge lord. His videos were pretty entertaining but he made enemies with people on both sides of the culture war and he probably stands as the only person who ever lost a legal battle to Billy Mitchell.

The first ten days/two weeks of the year, especially in 2019 when TMIB wasn't around to help, was nearly enough to put me off the DDP/deadpooling/the internet/human interaction for good.

Would have scored his first of the season for Juventus five minutes ago but it was ruled off for handball. Does this mean we get a fake death report now?
