Looks like his wife, Kelsey, won't be afraid to do media appearances during all this. She turned up on Loose Women this morning with an insight into the current situation:

Someone take 10 DDP points off Day In The Death, thanks. -
Research suggests that The Southgate Club (near the tube station) claims ancestry with the New Southgate SC, whether that's 100% official or just "in the spirit of" I'm not sure. Its website contains a history of the club that mentions its tradition of snooker (Doug Montjoy apparently used to play there and the first table was purchased for the club by the guy who set up the Lipton Tea Company), but nothing on the arrers.
-
I think New Southgate SC may be New Southgate Social Club, as it was common at the time for darts players (and snooker players, bowlers, etc) to be affiliated to a WMC or pub that they'd represent in tournaments. The New Southgate and Friern Barnet Social Club was founded in 1895, and still had an active darts team as of 2008.

Monster monster agent Eric Hall, perhaps the most 1990s figure football ever produced, dead at 73.

Was definitely alive in December last year,

As I said on the darts thread, the history of early darts tournaments is completely unresearched online, and having looked at it myself it's far too great a job for a casual online research job. However, the dates of death of the first four players to play in a national televised final can't be found, and it'd be nice if they were available somewhere. The 1948 and 1949 News of the World Champions. 1948 - Harry Leadbetter (St Helens) beat Tommy Small (West Hartlepool) 1949 - Jackie Boyce (Barnet) beat Stan Outten (Redbridge) Leadbetter was definitely dead as of 2000 according to this newspaper article. As for the other three - God knows.

I'm not a gamer at all so I just took advantage of people selling their old consoles for cheap to clear out room for the new ones and got an XBox One off Gumtree for £80

Deathlist Dreaming
Spade_Cooley replied to harrymcnallysblueandwhitearmy's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Dreamt that I was looking down the "Deaths in 2020" Wikipedia page and was perturbed to notice that nobody had reported the death of the saxophone player from Chicago. Except in my dream he was called "Greg" something. In real life the original sax player from Chicago was Walter Parazaider, who did retire from music a few years ago due to a heart condition, so.... -
These were the most important lessons I learned early on, and I have no doubt that you're a future DDP champion.

Does that leave just Gordon Ramsay now left for celebrities who claim to have been professional footballers but weren't?

Goddamn that's a winning team.

He might have moved slow, but it was only because he didn't have to move for anybody.

The problem with a replacement #50 now is that we don't really have a big name life imprisonment option to go for. Robert Maudsley only killed nonces, Arthur Hutchinson's crimes were horrific but it was a one-off and he's not really got the stardom, having a thread dedicated to Jeremy Bamber is dangerous as he has a weirdly well-organised fan club online who swarm to defend him at any opportunity... Bypassing them and we're already up to your Rose Wests.

Actually the DartsDatabase list is fucking useless, it still lists David "Rocky" Jones as being alive and he died 25 years ago. Am I really going to have to research this myself? Fucking hell....
-
Glazier's death means there are no more darts players listed on DartsDatabase over the age of 80. Doesn't mean there aren't any out there, but probably means that there's no more QOs out there for over-80s arrows-chuckers. Oldest player listed is John "Mr Magoo" Magowan, who I'm pretty sure has been in his late 70s since the release of the Commodore Amiga.

If I'm right.... Frank Borman, Anatoly Filipchenko, Ken Mattingly, James McDivitt or Tom Stafford win it for Banana. James McDivitt, Leonid Popov, Vladimir Shatalov or Aleksei Yeliseyev take it for gcreptile.

Congrats to those who picked Kico Slabinac. Which means we're already at (some number of) possible game-enders.....
