I mean how many people liberate Belsen, write the most famous line in British movie history and also helped keep numerous Soho sex shops in business throughout the 70s and 80s? Respect.

    Political Frailty

John F. Kelly but not that John F. Kelly is dead.

    Statistics

Wikipedia lists 64 people of note as having died of suicide by firearm in the UK. Of those, only one is a woman (Dora Carrington). Has there really been no other examples of lady celebs ending it all with a bullet in Albion?

She bought them, idk if she then ate them but she didn't open the bag inside the branch. I mean it was weird, where else would the Quavers be? In the fucking crisp section. It's a Tesco Express, it has four aisles maximum and one is taken up with discounted sandwiches.

Definitely thinking about an all-trans theme team next year called "Passing".

    Journalists

Could have sworn we had a mention of former Daily Mail football writer Ralph Ellis on here after he revealed he only had 18 months to live. Anyway, he's dead.

Looks like he's left the all-you-can-eat buffet pretty vacant.

Julie Burchill once asked me where the Quavers were in a branch of Tesco Express.

    Ideas and Possibilities for 2019

Turned on a documentary at random today and who turns up as a talking head but Dudley Sutton. Also in it offering their opinion was Arnold Louis Miller, Britain's first great porn director. Still alive at 96. It also seems to imply that Harold Wilson, Bob Monkhouse and Jimmy Hill were all custard cousins.

    Do You Actually Research?

Really looking forward to starting research again as of next year. Funny how I can never remember a single person's birthday yet I'm quite happy keeping a list of 200 cancer-suffering college handegg coaches.

Man City have a 102-year-old and her sprightly 97-year-old as mascots for the game today, which means a good chance the senior at least will get a QO when she goes.

No more, Butchie. No more of this. Frank Vincent went home and got his fucking shinebox one year ago today.

    Dead Pop Stars

Rachid Taha, leading Algerian musician who brought a variety of northern African influences to the French music charts (and was apparently the inspiration for The Clash's "Rock the Casbah"), dead at 59.

Victor Wong, who played the grandpa in Three Ninjas died today in 2001. He stayed up all night to watch news coverage of the 9/11 attacks and had a heart attack.

    Rodrigo Duterte

Hot Rod claims to have defeated an attempted foreign-backed Maoist coup. Of additional interest is that he has withdrawn amnesty from Senator Antonio Trillanes, who should now be on your unnatural death longlists.

    Last Word

Big fan of this line-up, ngl: Burt Reynolds Lord Peter Melchett Rita Borsellino Ajit Wadekar Reynolds' one features contributions from Karen Krizanovich, who gen-xers will remember as Sky Magazine's agony aunt in the mid-90s. Very excited for the Boresellino segment.
