Joshi wrestler Aliya' dead at 45. She wrestled for AJPW, Big Japan, CMLL, all the usual suspects, and even worked her retirement match earlier this year - a gauntlet - while suffering stage 4 cancer.

Update
-
My fault for trying to update while on a train's wifi. I'd actually fixed this before I saw your post!
-
Because everyone wants to be first to hit "publish". Those Google placings don't earn themselves.

I can exclusively reveal American newsrooms are currently running around like blue-arsed flies at this news, so I think we're looking at him going in the next few days rather than a brave final weeks fight against cancer.

Craig Mack, Lovebug Starski and now Robin Leach: that's three people namechecked in the lyrics of "Ready to Die" gone so far this year. Anyone know what Christopher Williams is up to?
-
CS:GO streamer McSkillet (877k YouTube subscribers), who had already retired from online gaming because he'd made enough money, dead at 18 after crashing his McLaren supercar.
-
"I made the change from a common thief/To up close and personal with Robin Leach". Looks like they're reunited now.

Villiano III was, of course, in an elite group of wrestlers (along with Steve Austin, Sting, Randy Savage, Ric Flair, The Undertaker, Scott Steiner, John Cena and Edge) to have won both best match of the year and worst match of the year in the WON awards. I'd never seen the effort he won worst of the year for before, but boy howdy it's quite something.

This thread has sent me down a Randy Santel hole on YouTube. The "World's Largest Breakfast Challenge" does come with white pudding.

Pete Doherty becomes one of the first people to complete a Margate cafe's breakfast eating challenge.

Dame Joan Hammond was a leading female amateur golfer before taking to opera full-time. Bing Crosby's son, Nathaniel Crosby, turned pro in the early 1980s and played on the European tour. He featured on a number of his father's records. Anthony Armstrong Jones (not the ex royal husband) was a former professional golfer who became a low-level country star in the late 60s/early 70s. And Althea Gibson, the first black person to win a tennis grand slam (1955 French Open), later turned to careers in both professional golf and music after racism curtailed her time on the court. Because if you want to avoid racism, you go to a golf course.

Films with entirely dead casts
Spade_Cooley replied to Spade_Cooley's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Back to completely dead casts, 1959's The World, The Flesh and The Devil will be a total all-people-on-screen wipeout when Harry Belafonte goes. -
https://pudding.cool/2018/08/wiki-death/ Kinda interesting-ish piece on spikes in Wikipedia editing and views after a celebrity dies. Does answer the question of whose death was bigger, Prince or David Bowie's.

OK, don't think anybody had Asia Argento in the sweepstakes.

I think it's a 2014 redux more than anything. -
Fake news. They never said they were travelling to prove human kindness (they were just generic tourists) and didn't even known Isis were active in Tajikistan.

Val Kilmer had to cancel his appearance at the Tombstone festival on doctor's orders. Yes, they have a Tombstone festival.

Saw that Rita Borsellino, brother of Paolo and anti-Mafia campaigner, died earlier this week, and reading the Italian press seems like it was out there that she was in the final stages of stage 4 cancer. She'd been profiled in QO publications before, but no signs of a valid obit just yet.
