Food blogger John Underwood, who was briefly mentioned in the 2016 Salvage Lot thread by a couple of us, dead:

MMMDP Form Guide #12: Fred Ottman Mistakenly reported dead on the DL already, will the Tugboat finally get towed out to sea this June? Our Fred never got his hands on a world title during his wrestling career, but can he shock the deadpooling universe and bag the MMMDP gold? Hospitalised in January and given the usual "prayers for..." social media clarion call from fellow professionals, it'd be a natural disaster if you missed him.

He doesn't have to worry about herpes any more: he drowned in a sensory deprivation tank.

MMMDP Form Guide #2: Stan Lee Will we be seeing a flat Stan Lee in June 2018? Pictured here at a recent Clive Dunn lookalike contest, the guy who signed his name to all Steve Ditko's comics now only picks the pen up when one of his 350 assistants wants to write themselves into his will. Vultures assemble!

Today's Times has the obituary of policing expert Professor Peter Waddington, who died back in March. A mixed bag of accomplishments:

http://www.derbydeadpool.co.uk/general/rules_and_scoring.html As I promised before, regional BBC (and ITV as well because fuck it) obits are coming back in 2019. I'm gonna lower the drop 40 bonus to make up for that, whether it be to 1 or 2 we'll decide later in the yaer.

Oh you don't know the half of it. -
Hypothetically.... if I got the site redesigned top-to-tail, made it database-run and with a CMS-based front-end (I think those are the right words), how many people hereabouts would be interested in throwing a tenner into the pot so some guy hired off Updesk from Pakistan or the Ukraine could get the job done?

Comes around sooner every year.

TotalBiscuit is a lock QO. Gonna go out on a limb here and say he'll even get a BBC obit, such is the traffic YouTubers can drive.

I think it's because, as we said, musicians tend not to die while they're still selling records. Even those who died go under 35 in the past 10/20 years were slightly past their commercial prime (Lisa Lopes, Amy Winehouse). Actually, it's Aaliyah who was the last person with a career and a future to die, thinking about it.

Hylda Baker stopped knowing, you know, today in 1986. Here she is with a child rapist: -
It's OK, she's given a completely sensible explanation for why she lied about being in a fatal car crash: she was either drugged or fell over in the shower.
-
Joe Bugner fighting skin cancer (10 rounds, UK regional heavyweight title eliminator).

It's not funny, obviously, but this from his Wikipedia entry just slayed me: "I'm not a bad guy, I only raped 70 people....."

Australia's leading arachnologist Barbara York Main retired last year at the age of 88. She's already outlived the world's oldest spider, who she discovered and studied. Perhaps she'll be joining him soon?

Ready for this legend to be PM?

What Are You Listening To Right Now?

Any other "odd" recommendations from Spotify? Big fan of this compilation of songs from 1950s corporate musicals. Featuring this Music Man pastiche about the brand new Oldsmobile from 1955. Sang by Bill Hayes, who's still alive and definitely QO-worthy. This is a banger as well: -
Playboy logo creator Art Paul dead at 93.

Shame he can't smile, he must be having the time of his life out there.
