I was hoping they'd use that nice woman who plays Madea.

Lill-Babs, who represented Sweden in 1961, dead at 80. Perhaps more interestingly, she later went on to have a pre-fame Abba as her backing band:

Please enjoy this song from Calamity Jane that clearly has no undertones or innuendo whatsoever:

I imagine myself in Europe, leading my Platoon. Our mission is to stop wh*Te dogs from advancing. We mow down wh*Te dogs but they keep coming. I shoot wh*Te dogs but I run out of ammo so I draw my sword and begin slaughtering wh*Tes, since wh*Tes are way more psychially inferior to me, I slay them by dozens. Then I get shot, but I didn’t fall, I kept fighting. Then shot again and again. wh*Tes were shooting me from a distance like the cowards they are. I lie down, facing up to sky and I see KARA BOĞA (Tengri) smiling at me, I smile back… Then I woke up, in africa, my homeland. My BLACK brethen gave me a warm welcome to heaven. I finally made it, I finally made it into heaven..

Didn't think she'd tyre that easily. Presumably it'll be a cremation not a burial?

Right, I think that's every bio written and every image uploaded, except for a couple that have fell through the cracks that I'm going to tidy up. Will do check-overs of old bios next, catch up on any outdated references (Obama's bio still saying he was president, f'rinstance). As for front page, getting the Theme Team running and linking back to previous months is next, which shouldn't be too troublesome.

Heef was the Player of the Month for March in the DDP (admittedly with his theme team), so he comes into this round on the back of some strong league form.

Watching BT Sport's celebration of 90s Italian football documentary at the moment trying to spot any signs of Ray Wilkins being clearly in deterioration. Can't see it, but Joe Jordan looks like shit.

Alias, producer for a bunch of bearded Anticon types who say shit like "I synthesise the telekinesis of transmutation", dead at 41.
-
Let's hope he doesn't pass (sideways) during the night.

It's Good Friday, so like a good Catholic boy I'm eating a lot of squid and done you a DDP update.

So putting 2+2 together: The charity screening of Car Share is to support The Lily Foundation, which provides support to children who suffer from mitochondrial disease. In a statement, Kay says that he has had "first-hand experience of the foundation's work". So my money is on one of his children being afflicted with it. It's the disease that killed Charlie Gard, fact fans.

Are they not getting confused with footballer who kind-of-looks-like-a-thin-Peter-Kay John O'Shea, who every football forum knows was Will Young's boyfriend?

First tweet in four months.

The Sun and Mirror have both been pretty quick on the mark recently when it comes to Serie A and La Liga deaths recently. I think that 1992 Uefa Cup final was what made me assume he'd QO, the Torino team at the lime was a lovely little outfit (Enzo Scifo, Roberto Mussi, a baby-faced Christian Vieri....)

Mondonico è morto. Surprised nobody took a DDP punt on him.

Thread did inspire me to see if there was any large-scale supermarket own brand database out there, and there is: http://www.supermarketownbrandguide.co.uk Of the 4269 items reviewed, only two score a coveted 1/10: Tesco Value Cornflakes: Not much better than cow cereal - and the bag leaves plastic a smell and taste on the corn flakes. Leave them on the shelf and let someone else throw them away. Buy Tesco's regular corn flakes. Tesco Value Tinned Vegetable Soup: The dog might, but you'll struggle to finish a spoonful. Leave it on the shelf and buy the brand.

The rule is you can buy the supermarket own-brand version of everything except Coke and ketchup.

This isn't a real person and is just a Charlie Higson character from The Fast Show.

One of two Batman 66 villains to have won Best Actor at the Oscars (the other is Art Carney, who won in 1974. Of course, the following year Best Actor was won by another man who'd go on to play a Batman villain, Jack Nicholson).
