You can piss in both but only throw up in the former?

Nine more fresh stiffs tributed (not in the porn site sense) in this latest update.

Ced Beaumont, who played The Captain in the first two episodes, died in 2002. John Axon played the guy who Clinton Baptiste caused an argument with his girlfriend ("Tell her before she gets hurt"), died 2008. Can't be arsed to go down the cast list any further than that. Fun (not fun) facts: John Axon was named after his grandfather John Axon, a train driver who received a posthumous George's Cross for sacrificing his life to stop a greater disaster in a 1957 runaway freight incident. Ewan McColl wrote a radio ballad about him:

Was hoping for a nice minor death to round of the current update, but now Stephy H has carked it so I have to make him the lead. The caption for Ken Dodd's picture was going to be "Two things in life are certain: death and... One thing in life is certain."

Lew Grade and Roy Rogers were both still alive when Scotland last played a major tournament finals game.
-
Craig Mack, a man known solely for the song he did that nobody remembers his part on, dead at 46.

Caught. There's also a pick for Sandy Briden, who died last year and there was some (very minor) public notification of this fact, so a sub comes into play there.

The URL seems to imply his ex-wife is Rikishi.

Where in the world was Lynne Thigpen today in 2003? A mortuary. -
i and The Indie haven't been part of the same company for nearly five years now. The Independent not being accepted is basically part of a hard cut-off: the rule was that only prestige media counted for QOs, and 10/15 years ago that meant national daily newspapers and broadcast TV. So when The Indie went digital-only, it had to go. Otherwise if someone launched a website claiming to be the continuation of Daily Sketch or The European, would we have to count that as a QO source?

It's just clearing the stragglers away in an over-saturated market. Nando's is a licence to print money, same as Wagamama's. Dumb cunts will pay £15 for a burger, cold fries and drink at Five Guys and there's a ton more of those hitting UK malls and cinema complexes in the upcoming years. Shake Shack, Wahaca, Franco Manca... these kinda places will be replacing the Cafe Rouges and Asks.

Ouch for TJS: the most recent episode of the Saturday Review on Radio 4 talks about Cynthia Heimel, and presumably mentions her death... but it doesn't specifically mention that on the strapline, just that she's "recommended". This year's Majestik Magnificent?

Worth noting that Cashmen was there for the 90th birthday of Tom Erhardt, the theatrical agent who replaced Peggy Ramsay as head of Cassarotto Ramsay. Add him to your long lists.... -
Naim Dangoor died less than two months after receiving a knighthood, that's the shortest gap I could find in five minute's googling.

As I said in "Ideas and Possibilities for 2018" last year.... And this suggests those who listened to me could be heading to the pay window soon:
